Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) has officially declared the Telangana Gurukul Common Entrance Test (TGCET) Result 2026 on 25th March 2026. Candidates who appeared on the TGCET entrance Exam held on 22nd February 2026 can now check their TGCET Result 2026 and download their scorecards from the official portal at https://tgswreis.telangana.gov.in/.

TGCET Results 2026 were officially announced by Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar at an event held at Welfare Bhavan in Hyderabad. Students need their Hall Ticket Number/ Mobile Number and Date of Birth to check the result and qualifying status in the exam.

TGCET is a state-level entrance exam conducted annually by the Telangana government to offer free residential school education to students from SC, ST, BC, and General categories. The exam is conducted by multiple bodies, TSWREIS, TTWREIS, MJPTBCWREIS, and TREIS, and covers admissions for Class 5 as well as Classes 6 to 9 in various Gurukul residential institutions across the state.

• On the homepage tab, on the link that reads “TGCET-2026-5th class results – Click here”.
• Candidates are redirected to a new login page.
• Enter login details i.e. Hall Ticket Number/ Mobile Number and Date of Birth.
• Enter the captcha code and click on Get Results.
• TGCET Result 2026 appears on the system screen.
• Download and print the scorecard. You’ll need it for counselling.

TGCET Seat Reservation Rules

The Telangana government has defined specific reservation policies for different Gurukul societies. Admission is granted based on category-wise quotas under various institutions.

• TGSWREIS (Social Welfare) – 75% seats reserved for SC candidates
• TGTWREIS (Tribal Welfare) – 64% seats reserved for ST candidates
• MJPTBCWREIS (BC Welfare) – 75% seats reserved for BC candidates
• TREI (General): Seats distributed among categories such as SC (15%), ST (6%), BC (29%), and others
