The result for Admission into 6th to 9th class Backlog vacancies for the academic year 2026-27 has been released online on 8th April 2026 at the official website www.tgcet.cgg.gov.in. This entrance exam was conducted for admissions into Class 5 and select vacancies in Classes 6 to 9 across various residential school societies in Telangana, including TSWREIS, TTWREIS, MJPTBCWREIS, and TREIS. TGCET Result 2026 is now available at the official website www.tgcet.cgg.gov.in, which includes key details such as marks obtained, rank, and qualifying status, which will be used for further admission processes, including counselling and seat allotment. A total of 1,72,842 students appeared for the TGCET exam for Admission into the 5th class. Out of these, over 48,320 students have been selected for admission across 604 Gurukul schools in the state.

• Visit the official website of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) at www.tgcet.cgg.gov.in.
• On the homepage tab, on the link that reads “TGCET-2026-5th class results – Click here”.
• Candidates are redirected to a new login page.
• Enter login details, i.e. Hall Ticket Number/ Mobile Number and Date of Birth.
• Enter the captcha code and click on Get Results.
• TGCET Result 2026 appears on the system screen.
• Download and print the scorecard. You’ll need it for counselling.

TGCET Seat Reservation Rules

The Telangana government has defined specific reservation policies for different Gurukul societies. Admission is granted based on category-wise quotas under various institutions.

• TGSWREIS (Social Welfare) – 75% seats reserved for SC candidates
• TGTWREIS (Tribal Welfare) – 64% seats reserved for ST candidates
• MJPTBCWREIS (BC Welfare) – 75% seats reserved for BC candidates
• TREI (General): Seats distributed among categories such as SC (15%), ST (6%), BC (29%), and others
