How to Calculate Marks Using SSC MTS Answer Key?
Candidates can calculate their tentative marks by comparing their answers with the official key before the results are declared. The tentative marks for SSC MTS CBT exam can be calculated with the following marking scheme:
The SSC MTS Exam is divided into two sessions, and their marking scheme is different.
For Session 1-
- Each correct answer carries +3 marks.
- Each wrong answer leads to no deduction
- Unattempted questions receive zero marks.
Compare your marked answers with the official answer key and count the number of correct answers and incorrect answers you gave.
The formula to estimate your score is:
Total Marks = (Number of Correct Answers × 3)
For example, if a candidate attempted 100 questions with 30 correct and 10 incorrect:
- Marks for correct answers = 30 × 3 = 90
- Negative marks = Nil
- Estimated total = 90
For Session 2-
- Each correct answer carries +3 marks.
- Each wrong answer leads to a deduction of 1 mark
- Unattempted questions receive zero marks.
Compare your marked answers with the official answer key and count the number of correct answers and incorrect answers you gave.
The formula to estimate your score is:
Total Marks = (Number of Correct Answers × 3)- (Number of Incorrect Answers×1)
For example, if a candidate attempted 100 questions with 30 correct and 10 incorrect:
- Marks for correct answers = 35 × 3 = 105
- Negative marks = 10 × 1 = 10
- Unattempted = 5
- Estimated total = 105 − 10 = 95 marks
Combined Total = Session 1 Score + Session 2 Score (90 + 95 = 185)
