AIBE 20 Exam Date 2025 Out

All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is a mandatory examination for law graduates in India who want to practice as advocates. AIBE 20 Examination 2025 is scheduled to be held on 30th November 2025 (Sunday), and the admit cards for the exam will be released on 15th November 2025. The passing percentage is as follows:

AIBE 20 Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for AIBE 20 examination:

1. Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed or are in the final year of a 3-year LL.B or 5-year integrated LL.B degree.
  • A recognised law degree from a BCI-approved institution is required.

Updated Guidelines: BCI has issued updated guidelines for AIBE 20 (XX) registration. The information is for the following categories of candidates from BCI-recognized Universities or approved law colleges:

1. Final-Year / Final-Semester Law Students (Without Backlogs)

  • Candidates in their final semester of a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. course and no backlogs in previous semesters, are eligible to register for AIBE XX.

2. Law Graduates Who Have Not Received Their Degree Yet

  • Candidates who completed a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. course and passed out but have not yet received their degree certificate are eligible to apply for AIBE 20.

2. Minimum Marks Requirement

  • No minimum marks required to appear for AIBE.
  • However, universities may prescribe minimum grades for further legal education (LL.M., etc.).

3. Age Limit

  • There is no upper or lower age limit for appearing in the AIBE exam.

4. State Bar Council Enrollment

  • State Bar Council registration is no longer mandatory to appear in AIBE.
  • Candidates can apply even if not enrolled with a State Bar Council.

AIBE Eligibility Exemptions

  • Law graduates who passed LL.B. before the academic year 2009–2010 are exempted from AIBE.
  • Those who graduated in 2008 or earlier (even if enrolled later) do not need to appear for AIBE.
  • Candidates graduating from 2009–10 onwards must appear and pass the AIBE to practice law.

Number of Attempts

  • Unlimited attempts are allowed until the candidate qualifies.
  • However, candidates must pass AIBE within two years of provisional enrollment with the State Bar Council.
  • If the 2-year period expires without qualifying, the candidate must re-enroll to appear again.

AIBE 20 Application Fee 2025

The application fee for AIBE 20 must be paid online using a Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI to complete the application form. All payments are non-refundable, and extra bank charges are applicable during the transaction. The category-wise fee is as follows:

Registration Process for All India Bar Examination 20 Examination

Candidates can register for the AIBE 20 by following these simple steps. All candidates can use the registration link, which has been activated on 29th September 2025, on the official website of BCI.

  • Go to the Bar Council of India’s official AIBE website: https://www.allindiabarexamination.com
  • Scroll down the homepage and look for the text: “Notification with regard to schedule of All India Bar Examination- XX”
  • Click on the link “Registration link AIBE-XX”
  • A new page open, and click on the “New Registration” button.
  • Enter your required details: Name, Place, Mobile number, Email, Enrollment number, state.
  • After registering, you get a registration number, use it to log in again to the application form.
  • Fill in required details such as: Educational qualification, Date of birth, Preferred exam centres and Preferred exam language
  • Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature in JPG format, as per the specified size.
  • Proceed to pay the registration/application fee through the available online payment methods.
  • Finally, submit the AIBE XX application form and take a printout for future use.

Document Submission (LL.B. Marksheets):

a) Final Semester Students:

  • Submit self-attested scanned marksheets (not photos):
  • 3-year LL.B: Semester I to V
  • 5-year LL.B: Semester I to IX

b) Law Graduates Without Degree:

  • Submit self-attested scanned marksheets:

  • 5-year LL.B: Semester I to X

AIBE 20 Exam Pattern 2025

The All India Bar Examination (AIBE 20) will be conducted in offline mode, which covers a total of 19 subjects.

  • There are 100 Objective questions for 100 marks.
  • Each Question carries 1 mark.
  • There is no negative marking for any incorrect attempt.
