AIBE 21 Exam Date 2026 Out

All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is a mandatory examination for law graduates in India who want to practice as advocates, for which the AIBE 21 Exam Date 2026 has been released through the notification. AIBE 21 Examination 2026 is scheduled to be held on 7th June 2026, and the admit cards for the exam will be released on 22nd May 2026. The passing percentage is as follows:

AIBE 21 Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must fulfill the eligibility conditions set by the Bar Council of India to apply for AIBE 21. The AIBE XXI eligibility criteria required to be eligible to apply has been detailed below.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed or are in the final year of a 3-year LL.B or 5-year integrated LL.B degree.
  • A recognised law degree from a BCI-approved institution is required.

Updated Guidelines: BCI has issued updated guidelines for AIBE 21 (XXI) registration. The information is for the following categories of candidates from BCI-recognized Universities or approved law colleges:

  • Eligibility of Final-Year Law Students (Without Backlogs):
    Candidates currently in their final semester of a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree course, studying at a BCI-recognised University or a College approved by the BCI and affiliated with a BCI-recognised University, are eligible to register for AIBE. These candidates must have no backlogs from previous semesters to qualify.
  • Eligibility of Law Graduates Who Have Not Obtained Their Degree:
    LL.B. graduates (3-year or 5-year course) who have passed out from BCI-recognised Universities or a College approved by the BCI and affiliated with a BCI-recognised University, but who have not yet obtained their degree are also eligible to apply for AIBE. This includes graduates who have completed their course and are awaiting degree conferral.
  • Eligibility of Graduates Who Have Obtained Their Degree but Have Not Enrolled or Have Surrendered Their Enrolment Certificates:
    Candidates who have obtained their LL.B. degree from a BCI-recognised University or BCI-approved College but have not enrolled with any State Bar Council, as well as those who had enrolled but have surrendered their enrolment certificates, are also eligible to apply.

Minimum Marks Requirement

  • No minimum marks required to appear for AIBE.
  • However, universities may prescribe minimum grades for further legal education (LL.M., etc.).

Age Limit

There is no upper or lower age limit for appearing in the AIBE exam.

State Bar Council Enrollment

  • State Bar Council registration is no longer mandatory to appear in AIBE.
  • Candidates can apply even if not enrolled with the State Bar Council.

AIBE XXI Application Form 2026

The online registration for the All India Bar Examination 21 has started from 11th February 2026 onwards by the Bar Council of India. Candidates willing to apply can now fill out their AIBE XXI Application Form 2026 at the official website www.allindiabarexamination.com or they can also use the direct link provided below to apply online.

Registration Process for All India Bar Examination 21 Examination

Candidates can register for the AIBE 21 by following these simple steps. All candidates can use the registration link, which has been activated on 11th February 2026, on the official website of BCI.

  1. Go to the Bar Council of India’s official AIBE website: www.allindiabarexamination.com
  2. Scroll down the homepage and look for the text: “Notification with regard to schedule of All India Bar Examination- XXI”
  3. Click on the link “Registration link AIBE-XXI”
  4. A new page open, and click on the “New Registration” button.
  5. Enter your required details: Name, Place, Mobile number, Email, Enrollment number, state.
  6. After registering, you get a registration number, use it to log in again to the application form.
  7. Fill in required details such as: Educational qualification, Date of birth, Preferred exam centres and Preferred exam language
  8. Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature in JPG format, as per the specified size.
  9. Proceed to pay the registration/application fee through the available online payment methods.
  10. Finally, submit the AIBE XXI application form and take a printout for future use.

AIBE XII Exam Pattern 2026

The All India Bar Examination XXI (AIBE 21) will be conducted in offline mode, which covers a total of 19 subjects.

  • There are 100 Objective questions for 100 marks.
  • Each Question carries 1 mark.
  • There is no negative marking for any incorrect attempt.
  • The duration of the AIBE 20 exam is 3 hours and 30 minutes
