Education Qualification for Bihar STET Paper 1

  • Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, English, Bengali, Maithili, Arabic, Persian, Bhojpuri:
    Bachelor’s degree with the respective subject and a 2-Year B.Ed. from a recognised institution, or a 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) like BA-B.Ed./B.Sc.-B.Ed.

  • Mathematics:
    Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics and at least one of Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, or Statistics, along with a 2-Year B.Ed., or a 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) with Mathematics.

  • Science:
    Bachelor’s degree with Zoology, Botany, and Chemistry, along with a 2-Year B.Ed., or a 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) with Science.

  • Social Science:
    Bachelor’s degree with at least two subjects from History, Geography, Political Science, or Economics (with History or Geography compulsory), along with a 2-Year B.Ed., or a 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP).

  • Physical Education:
    10th pass with a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Physical Education, along with a 2-Year B.Ed. or equivalent.

  • Fine Arts/Dance/Music:
    Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts/Dance/Music with a 2-Year B.Ed., or a 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in the respective field.

    Master’s degree in Botany or Zoology with at least 50% marks, along with a 2-Year B.Ed., or a 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) with Biology.

  • History:

  • Master’s degree in History with at least 50% marks, along with a 2-Year B.Ed., or a 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) with History.

  • Geography:
    Master’s degree in Geography with at least 50% marks, along with a 2-Year B.Ed., or a 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) with Geography.

  • Political Science:
    Master’s degree in Political Science with at least 50% marks, along with a 2-Year B.Ed., or a 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) with Political Science.

  • Computer Science:

  • Fine Arts/Dance/Music:

Bihar STET Age Limit (01/08/2025)

The prescribed age limit for the Bihar STET 2025 is 37 years (male) and 40 years (female) for the general category. The prescribed age limit for the other category under Bihar STET Recruitment 2025 is tabulated below. Category-wise, the Age limit is mentioned below in the table.

BSEB STET 2025 Application Fee

While submitting the Bihar STET 2025 Online Form, candidates have to pay the required application fee through the online payment gateway. A candidate belonging to either the General or OBC category is required to pay Rs. 960/- (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 1440/- (if applying for both papers).

Steps to Apply Online for Bihar STET 2025

Candidates can apply online for the Bihar Secondary Teachers Eligibility Test by following the step-by-step process shared below.

  1. Visit the official website of Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) at www.secondary.biharboardonline.com.
  2. Click on Register New Portal and fill out the registration form by providing the candidate’s basic details, mobile number, and email ID.
  3. An OTP is sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number. By filling in the OTP, the candidates’ registration process will be completed.
  4. With the help of User ID (candidate’s mobile number) and Password, click on the Login tab and complete the application form.
  5. Candidates fill out application forms and submit their personal and educational details.
  6. Uploaded a colour photograph and signature. (The scanned size of the candidate’s photograph should be 20 kb to 100 kb, and the dimension should be 3.5cm x 4.5cm, and the scanned size of the signature should be 10kb to 50kb.)
  7. Click on Make Payment and pay the application fee as per the online payment gateway.
  8. Submit and take a printout of the BSEB STET 2025 Application Form for future reference.

Bihar STET 2025 Qualifying Marks

To be qualified in the BSEB STET 2025 computer-based written exam, candidates are required to score a minimum qualifying percentage as set by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB). Candidates from the General category will have to score a minimum of 50% marks in the Bihar STET Exam 2025, whereas candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD/Women categories will require 40%.
