What is Bihar STET Exam?

STET stands for Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test, a mandatory state-level exam conducted by BSEB. Qualifying this exam does not directly give a job; it makes candidates eligible to apply for teacher recruitment vacancies announced later by the Bihar Education Department.

The candidates who will be declared qualified in the exam will be issued a BSEB Bihar STET Certificate 2026 that will be valid for life.

Why Has the Bihar STET Exam Date Been Changed?

A revision of the examination date has been made as there were examinations of CBSE and NVS that were scheduled on 4 November 2026. This was a conflicting date; therefore, BSEB has decided to reschedule the concerned Bihar STET exam to 21 November 2026. In this regard, the board has instructed the candidates to download their updated admit cards from the official website.
