WB Police SI Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply online for WBP SI Recruitment 2024 candidates must be required to fulfill the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the notification pdf. The eligibility parameters in terms of education qualification and age limit are as follows:
WBP SI Educational Qualification
Educational Qualification: The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent.
Language: (i) The candidates should be able to speak, read, and write Bengali Language.
However, this provision will not apply to permanent residents of the hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts.
(ii) For the applicant of hill subdivisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong District, the provisions laid down in the West Bengal Official Language Act, 1961 will be applicable.
WBP SI Age Limit (as on 01/01/2024)
Candidate’s ages should be between 20 years to 30 years as on 01.01.2024 to be eligible to apply online for WB Police SI Recruitment 2024. Age relaxation will be provided as per government rules.

West Bengal Police Recruitment Board will conduct the 05 stage of the recruitment process to recruit candidates for Sub-Inspector (UB) and Sub-Inspector (AB) posts in West Bengal Police. WBP SI Prelims Exam Pattern 2024
The WBP SI preliminary exam will be a screening test to shortlist candidates for the next phase of the selection process Physical Exam. The exam will be an OMR-based MCQ-type written examination. The exam consists the topics from General Studies, Logical & analytical reasoning, and Arithmetic. The question paper will be set in two languages (English and Bengal). For each correct answer, 02 marks will be rewarded and there will be a negative marking, a 1/4 mark will be deducted. The time duration will be provided 90 minutes to complete the exam.

WB Police Constable Physical Measurement Test
Qualified candidates in the preliminary examination will be called to appear for the Physical Measurement Test. The PMT test candidates’ height, weight, and chest will be tested. Qualified candidates in the PMT only will be eligible to appear in the Physical Efficiency Test.

WBP Constable Physical Efficiency Test
The Physical Efficiency Test will be done through the candidate’s performance in running. PET is also qualifying in nature. Candidates who qualify for the PMT & PET shall be eligible to appear in the Final Combined Competitive Examination.
