The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has made an announcement regarding the exam date along with the complete exam schedule for the UPSC Main Exam. The UPSC Mains Exam is the second stage of the recruitment process, which is conducted only for candidates who have been declared qualified in the prelims exam. The UPSC Civil Service Mains Examination will be held on 5 days on 20th, 21st, 22nd, 28th, and 29th September 2024. 4 for which the admit card has been released on 13th September 2024. UPSC Mains Exam Date 2024 Out
The UPSC Civil Service Exam is a national-level annual exam to recruit eligible candidates for All India Services and Central Civil Services. This year a total of 14,627 candidates have qualified in the UPSC Prelims exam and are now eligible to appear for the mains exam. The UPSC CSE Mains Exam is a descriptive type consisting of 09 papers for a total of 1750 marks. As per UPSC Calendar 2024 Mains exam has been scheduled for 20th, 21st, 22nd, 28th, 29th September 2024. With the main exam near, candidates are reminded to pull their socks up and revise the syllabus to crack the exam. The final merit list of candidates will be prepared by the candidates’ total marks secured in the mains and interviews.

UPSC Mains 2024 Exam Schedule
The UPSC Mains Exam 2024 will consist of 09 papers which are held in two shifts each day. The time duration of each paper is 03 hours. Except for the Essay paper, the exam will be held in two shifts from 9 am to 12 noon and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The shift timing, exam venue, exam date etc has been notified through the candidate’s respective admit card which has been released on 13th September 2024.

UPSC Mains Time Table 2024 (Official Notice)

UPSC Mains Exam Pattern 2024
UPSC CSE 2024 main examination which consists of 9 papers with different subjects. All papers are descriptive type. Paper A, Indian language, and Paper B English is Qualifying in nature. The total marks scored in the mains exam Paper I, II, III, IV, V VI, and VII will be counted in the final merit list. Each paper will be held for 03 hours.
