UPSC CSE 2025 Final Result Out, Download Merit List PDF

UPSC announced the Civil Services Results 2025 at the official website www.upsc.gov.in. Anuj Agnihotri tops the nationwide. The UPSC Final Result 2025 is prepared by combining the marks scored in the main written exam and the interview (also called the Personality Test).

A total of 958 candidates have been recommended for prestigious services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), and other Group A and Group B Central Services.

The final list of successful candidates following a tough competition has been uploaded on the official website at www.upsc.gov.in, and the UPSC Marks 2025 PDF for the mains written examination and personality test will be released soon. Apart from the main list, the UPSC also announced a reserve list of 258 candidates, and these candidates might be considered for appointment if any vacancies need to be filled later.

  1. Visit the official website of UPSC at www.upsc.gov.in.
  2. On the homepage, go to the “What’s New” section.
  3. Click on the link that reads “Final Result – Civil Services Examination, 2025”.
  4. The UPSC Final Result 2025 PDF will open on the screen.
  5. Press Ctrl+F and enter your name or roll number to search quickly.
  6. If your roll number appears in the PDF, you have been recommended for appointment.
  7. Save and download the UPSC Final Result 2025 PDF for future reference.

UPSC CSE Cut-Off Trend (2018–2025)

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) releases the final cut-off marks after the Civil Services Examination, which includes marks from the Mains (1750) and Personality Test/Interview (275), totaling 2025 marks. The cut-off represents the minimum marks secured by the last recommended candidate in each category.

Important Notes for Candidates

  • Reserve List – The Commission is maintaining a consolidated Reserve List of 258 candidates.
  • Provisional Status – The candidature of 348 recommended candidates is currently kept provisional.
  • Withheld Results – The results of 02 candidates have been withheld.
  • Marksheets – Candidates can check their individual UPSC Marksheet 2025 on the UPSC website within 15 days from the date of result declaration.

How to Calculate UPSC CSE Marks?

UPSC Mains Exam consists of 9 papers in total, of which 7 are counted for merit, and 2 (Paper A & B – language papers) are qualifying in nature. Each qualifying paper (Paper A: Indian Language & Paper B: English) carries 300 marks. candidates must score at least 25% (75 marks) in each to qualify.

The 7 merit-based papers are.

  • Essay (Paper I) – 250 marks
  • General Studies I (Paper II) – 250 marks
  • General Studies II (Paper III) – 250 marks
  • General Studies III (Paper IV) – 250 marks
  • General Studies IV (Paper V) – 250 marks
  • Optional Subject Paper I (Paper VI) – 250 marks
  • Optional Subject Paper II (Paper VII) – 250 marks

To calculate your Mains marks, add the marks obtained in these 7 merit papers only.

  • The maximum marks for UPSC Mains (merit papers) = 1750.
  • Marks of Interview/Personality Test (275 marks) are added later to the Mains total to arrive at the final score (out of 2025).

UPSC 2025 Vacancies To be Filled

As per the result, the number of vacancies has also been revised, and now the total number of vacancies is 1087. A total of 180 vacancies are for IAS, 55 for IPS, 150 for IPS, 507 for Central Services Group ‘A’, and 195 for Group ‘B’ Services. Check category-wise vacancies from the table below.
