UP Polytechnic Lecturer Recruitment 2025 Eligibility

Lecturer – Architecture

• B.Arch OR a 4-year First Class degree in any allied field.
• Allied fields include: Architectural Assistantship, Architectural Engineering, Architecture & Interior Design, Building Engineering & Construction Management, Interior Design, etc.
• Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture/allied fields with First Class in either degree.

Workshop Superintendent

• Bachelor’s OR Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with First Class.
• Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering with First Class in either.

Lecturer- Non-Engineering (Sciences & Humanities)

• The Subjects included Physics, Chemistry, English, and Mathematics.
• Master’s degree in the relevant subject with First Class.

Preferential Qualifications (Extra Advantage)

Candidates will get preference if they have 2 years of service in the Territorial Army, OR hold an NCC “B” Certificate

Age Limit (as of 01/07/2025)

To be eligible, candidates must be at least 21 years old and not older than 40 years.

Steps to Apply for UP Lecturer Recruitment 2025

Applications are accepted only through the UPPSC website: https://uppsc.up.nic.in. After visiting the website, on the homepage, go to the “Notification” section and click on the “Apply link” for the UPPSC Polytechnic Lecturer Recruitment 2025

Step 1: Authenticate with O.T.R.

• Click “Apply” → “Authenticate with O.T.R.”
• If you already have OTR, enter your OTR number and authenticate via OTP or OTR password.
• If you don’t have OTR, first register on https://otr.pariksha.nic.in to get an OTR number, then continue the process.

Step 2: Applicant Dashboard

• Fill in permanent and correspondence addresses.

UP Polytechnic Lecturer Vacancy 2025 Selection Process

The selection process for the UP Polytechnic Lecturer consists of two stages: The selection will be based on the marks obtained in the written exam and the Interview.

• Written Exam: The examination will be conducted for 250 questions for 750 marks. Candidates must clear this exam to be called for the Interview.
• Interview: The interview will be conducted for 100 marks.
• Document Verification: In this stage, all the original educational documents will be verified, and the final result will be released.

UP Polytechnic Lecturer Exam Pattern 2025

The exam consists of two papers with a total of 250 questions asked from General Hindi, General Studies, and the subject concerned. Each correct answer gives 3 marks, and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect attempt. The duration of each paper is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Those who clear the written examination will be called for the next stage of the selection process, which is the Interview. The Interview will be conducted for 100 marks. Candidates must fill out the prescribed application form before the interview. Original certificates will be verified at the time of the interview.

UPPSC Polytechnic Lecturer Salary 2025

The salary for a Polytechnic Lecturer falls under Pay Level 9A or 10. Candidates who have a first-class degree will come under Level 10. Candidates selected for the post can expect an in-hand salary ranging from approximately Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 57,700 per month. Along with the salary, they will get extra perks and allowances like TA, DA, HRA etc.
