The exam pattern for UPCISB Junior Engineer posts has two parts, Prelims and Mains. Both these parts are conducted in an objective-type multiple-choice format, with each part containing a single paper. The Prelims exam has four sections: Numerical Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Language paper, and Cooperative subject. There are a total of 100 questions, with Numerical Aptitude and Reasoning Ability carrying the highest weightage in terms of the number of questions.
- Candidates will get 90 minutes to complete the paper.
- Each question carries 1 mark.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
- As it is an objective-type exam, if candidates answer more than 1 answer, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks

UPCISB JE Mains Exam Pattern
The Mains exam has six sections: Reasoning Ability, Numerical Aptitude, General Awareness, Cooperative, Language, and a subject as per posts (Civil Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Commerce). Candidates will get 2 hours or 120 minutes to finish the paper.
- The total number of questions is 120.
- Except for the technical subject, all questions carry 1 mark.
- Each question of the technical subject carries 3 marks.
- For every wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
- The language of the question paper is English and Hindi

UPCISB JE Minimum Qualifying Marks 2026
