UP SI Vacancy 2025

Under the UP Police SI Recruitment drive, there are total of 4543 vacancies for the posts of Sub Inspector Civil Police (Male/Female), Platoon Commander PAC (Male) / Sub Inspector Armed Police (Male), Platoon Commander / Sub Inspector, Special Security Force (Male), Female Sub Inspector NPC (PC) for Female Battalion.

Out of these, 4242 posts are for Civil Police SI. Additionally, 106 posts are for SI/Platoon Commander in the Women’s Battalion at Budaun, Gorakhpur, and Lucknow. There are 135 posts for Platoon Commander/Armed Police SI, and 60 posts for SI/Platoon Commander in the Special Security Force.

UP Police SI Vacancy 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in UP Police SI Vacancy 2025 must ensure that they fulfill UP Police SI Vacancy 2025 Eligibility Criteria in terms of Educational Qualification and Age Limit. Candidates who fail to fulfill the eligibility parameters will have their application and selection rejected at any stage of the selection process.

Nationality

Candidate should be:
a. be a citizen of India, or
b. be a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January, 1962 to permanently reside in India, or
c. be a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka or any East African country Kenya, Uganda and United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar) to permanently reside in India.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have completed a Graduation degree from a university established by law in India or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.

Note:– At the time of applying, the candidate must possess the requisite educational qualification, and their mark sheet or certificate must be available with them at that time. Candidates who have appeared or are appearing in the examination for the required educational qualification will not be eligible.

Age Limit (as on 01/07/2025)

To be eligible to apply online for UP SI Recruitment 2025, candidates’ minimum age should be 21 years, and their maximum age should not be more than 28 years. i.e., the candidate must not have been born before 02-07-1997 and after 01-07-2004.

The cabinet has approved a three-year age relaxation for sub-inspector recruitment for all categories.

UP SI Recruitment 2025 Application Fees

Candidates applying for the UP Police SI Recruitment 2025 must pay an application fee as per their category to complete the application form. The fee should be paid online through Net banking, UPI, Debit, etc, while applying.

UP SI Vacancy 2025 Selection Process

The Selection Process for UP Police SI Recruitment 2025 for 4543 vacancies includes 4 stages, which are:

Stage 1: Written Exam – Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) will conduct the written exam for all those candidates who successfully registered for the exam. The written exam will be held in offline mode for a total of 400 marks.

Stage 2: Document Verification (DV) and Physical Standard Test (PST) – Qualified candidates in the written exam will be called to appear for the DV and PST exam, which is qualifying in nature.

Stage 3: Physical Efficiency Test – Candidates who qualify for the DV and PST exam will be shortlisted to appear for the Physical Efficiency test. The PET is qualifying in nature, and in this stage, candidates have to complete the race in a specified time frame.

Stage 4: Medical Examination and Character Verification – The final merit list of candidates will be based on their performance after their medical examination and character verification process.

UP SI Exam Pattern 2025

The exam will be conducted in OMR-based mode and has 4 sections, each carrying 40 questions

• UP Police SI exam includes objective-type multiple-choice questions
• Each correct answer gives 2.5 marks
• The duration of the exam is 2 hours.
• Candidates must score at least 35% marks in each subject and 50% overall marks to qualify for the next stage

UP SI Physical Standard Test (PST)

The Physical Standard Test must be met by the candidates to be called for the efficiency test. The height and chest requirements for males and females are as follows.

Additional Criteria:

• Female candidates should weigh at least 40 kg.
• Male candidates should have a minimum chest expansion of 5 cm.

UP SI Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

The Physical Measurement Test (PMT) is an important part of the UP SI Recruitment process. It includes a run that candidates must complete within a given time. For male candidates, 4.8 kilometres must be completed in 28 minutes. For female candidates, 2.4 kilometres must be finished within 16 minutes. This test is designed to check the physical fitness and stamina of the applicants.

UP Police SI Salary 2025

The Sub Inspector (SI) in the Uttar Pradesh Police is one of the most reputable and respected roles.
