Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has released the UP Police Constable Notification 2025, outlining the UP SI Eligibility Criteria for SI posts. UP Police SI Eligibility Criteria 2025

UP Police SI Notification 2025 has been released for the recruitment of 4543 Sub-Inspectors vacancies. To be eligible to apply online for UP Police SI Vacancy 2025, candidates must meet certain UP Police SI Eligibility Criteria 2025 as set by the exam conducting department. The following are the specifics of these requirements:

Nationality

As per the Government of India Norms, the nationality requirements for the aspirants are as follows.

  1. Must be an Indian Citizen
  2. Candidates who are Tibetan refugees and migrated to India before 1st January 1962 are also eligible.
  3. Indian Origin who have settled permanently in India from countries like, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Kenya, United Republic of Tanzania and Pakistan are also eligible for the Sub Inspectors.

UP Police SI Age Limit (as on 01/07/2025)

Candidates’ age must be between 21 and 28 years for the Sub-Inspectors in UP Police. Also, candidates from OBC, SC, ST, and similar categories are eligible for age relaxation according to government rules.

  • For the posts of Platoon Commander PAC (Male) / Sub Inspector Armed Police (Male) and Platoon Commander / Sub Inspector, Special Security Force (Male)– Candidate must have attained 21 years to  28 years of age i.e. the candidate was born before 01-07-1997 and should not be later than 01-07-2004.

UP Police SI Educational Qualification

To meet the educational requirements for the UP Police SI, candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree from any stream from a recognized university.

Note:– At the time of applying, the candidate must possess the requisite educational qualification, and their mark sheet or certificate must be available with them at that time. Candidates who have appeared or are appearing in the examination for the required educational qualification will not be eligible.

UP Police SI Physical Details and Eligibility 2025

Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has set the physical test, which will be conducted after the written examination. The physical test includes height, chest, and running. UP Police SI Physical Measurement Test (Height and Chest)

Candidates will have to undergo a physical standard test (PST), which includes height, chest, and weight. Those who do not meet the required standard will be eliminated at the same time.

UP Police SI Physical Standard Test (PST)

UPPRPB has set the physical standard test for both males and females. Male candidates must complete a 4.8 km in 28 minutes while female candidates are required to complete a 2.4 km in 16 minutes.

UP Police SI Medical Examination

After clearing the physical test, candidates have to go through the medical examinations. Various tests are conducted to check for medical fitness for the Sub-Inspectors, as listed below.

  2. For Eyesight- Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without glasses.
  3. Hearing Test for the ear
  4. Drug Screening
