Under UP Police Constable Recruitment 2024, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has announced 60244 Constable vacancies to be filled this year. UP Police Constable 2024 Selection Process

Candidates eligible for various posts through UP Police Constable Vacancy 2024 will be selected through the following stages. Aspirants have to undergo an online written exam followed by PET & PMT, and Document Verification. The candidates have to qualify in each stage for their final selection.

UP Police Constable Exam Pattern 2024

Before applying for the UP Police Constable vacancy 2024, all candidates have to be aware of the exam pattern and syllabus for the written exam. The UP Police Constable written exam will be OMR-based. The written examination will be of 300 marks for 150 questions, 2 marks for each question and the total time duration is 2 hours (120 minutes). The questions will be based on four different subjects which are General Knowledge, General Hindi, Numerical and mental Ability Tests, Mental Aptitude Tests, or Intelligence Quotient Tests or Reasoning.

2. Each question will carry +2 marks.
3. There will be a negative marking of 0.5 for every wrong answer.
4. The time duration for the examination is 02 hours.

UP Police Constable Physical Standard Test (PST)

UPPRPB has prescribed the Physical Standard for both male & female applicants. Applicants will be screened for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) i.e. Height, Chest, and Weight measurements. The minimum height for UR/OBC/SC male candidates must be 168 cm and for females, the height must be 152 cm. There will be no chest measurements for female candidates. UP Police Constable Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Those candidates who qualify for Document Verification and Physical Standard Test (PST) will be called for PET. The male candidates have to run a 4.8 km distance in 25 minutes and the female candidates have to run a 2.4 km distance in 14 minutes.
