The UP LT Grade Teacher exam is conducted in two stages—Prelims (objective type) and Mains (descriptive type), with category‑wise qualifying marks of 35% for SC/ST candidates and 40% for others.
- Mode and Type: Offline, objective-type MCQs with one common paper for all candidates.
- Sections: General Studies – 30 questions and Concerned/Main Subject – 120 questions.
- Total Questions: 150
- Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
- Negative Marking: 0.33 mark deducted for each wrong answer; no penalty for unattempted questions

- UP LT Grade Teacher Admit Card 2026: The admit card for the preliminary examination is compulsory to carry to the examination centre. Without an admit card, candidates will be debarred from appearing in the examination.
