NTA UGC NET Answer Key 2024

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully conducted the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2024) from 21st August to 05th September 2024 in CBT mode.  The exam consists of two papers- I, and II. There were 150 multiple-choice questions asked for a total of 300 multiple-choice questions. Candidates must note that 02 marks are rewarded for each correct answer and there is no negative marking in the UGC NET Exam 2024.

Steps to Download UGC NET Answer Key and Raise Objection Process

For the candidate’s convenience, and smooth download procedure, we have shared a few steps that help candidates download the UGC NET Answer Key 2024 from the official website. The steps to raise objections are also discussed here.

  1. Visit the official website of  NTA i.e. https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
  2. Click on the link that reads: “Click Here to Answer Key challenge”.
  3. Login with your Application Number and Date of Birth enter your Security PIN as displayed and submit.
  4. Click on “View Question Paper” for marked responses and to view or challenge the Answer keys, click on the link “Click to view /Challenge Answer Key”.
  5. You will see Question IDs in sequential order.
  6. The ID next to the question under the column ‘Correct Option(s)’ stands for the correct Answer Key to be used by NTA. The Dropped Questions are highlighted and not for challenge.
  7. If you wish to challenge this option, you may use any one or more of the Option IDs given in the next four columns by clicking the check box.
  8. After clicking your desired option, scroll down, ‘Save your Claims’, and move to the next screen.
  9. You will see a display of all the Option IDs you have challenged.
  10. You may upload supporting documents which you can select ‘Choose File’ and upload (all documents to be put in a single pdf file).
  11. Click on ‘Save your Claims and pay fee’ or in case you wish to modify the claims, click on ‘Modify your Claims’.
  12. After saving the claims, you will find a screen displaying your Challenges.
  13. Kindly pay the fee by clicking on ‘Pay Fee’. The claims will be saved finally after the successful payment of a requisite fee.
  14. Select Mode of Payment and Pay your fee @ Rs.200/- for each question challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking.

UGC NET Answer Key 2024: Raise Objection

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has provided an opportunity for the candidates to raise objections to the provisional answer key. Candidates who are not satisfied with answer key can submit their objection from 13th September 2024 (11:50 pm). Candidates have to submit their objections in the stipulated time frame along with the feedback and pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 200/-. Challenges without justification/ evidence after the stipulated time period will not be considered. The subject experts will examine all the challenges received by candidates and then a final answer key will be displayed.

How to Calculate Marks Using UGC NET Answer Key 2024?

As the UGC NET Answer Key 2024 has been released on the official website www.ugcnet.nta.nic.in. candidates can calculate their tentative scores with the help of the marking scheme. Here are the steps that explain the process of calculating the marks using the UGC NET answer key.

  • For each correct answer, the candidate will be provided 02 marks in both papers 1 & 2.
  • There is no negative marking for incorrect answers in the UGC NET 2024 exam.
  •  For questions unanswered/marked for review, no marks will be given.
  • If a question is found to be incorrect/ambiguous during the key challenge, the candidate who has attempted the question and chosen one of the correct answers will be given the credit. If there is any dropped question(s), marks will be awarded to all the candidates.

UGC NET 2024: Marking Scheme
