SSC GD 2026 Slot Booking Ends on 15 April, Submit Your Preference Now

If you have applied for the SSC GD Constable 2026 examination and have not submitted your preferences, then this is a reminder for you as only 2 days are left. This time, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has opened a week preference submission window, for which the last date is approaching. All registered candidates are strongly advised not to delay and to submit their preferences well before the deadline, i.e. 15th April 2026 (5 pm). Missing this opportunity could cost you the right to choose when you appear for the exam — so don’t wait.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has activated the slot booking window for around 48 lakh candidates who have submitted their applications for SSC GD Constable Examination 2026. Candidates who have applied for 25,487 posts for GD Constable in CAPFs, SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles must hurry up and book their preferred slot (week) from the available options.

Candidates who miss the deadline will not be disqualified from the exam. However, the Commission will automatically assign them an examination window based on administrative availability and centre capacity. No request for change of window, centre, or shift will be accepted after the deadline. To avoid this, submit your preferences at the earliest.

This year, the SSC GD CBT has been divided into four examination windows to manage the large candidate pool of over 48 lakh applicants competing for 25,487 vacancies. Candidates must rank all four windows in their order of preference while submitting the form.

Window 1- 27 April – 2 May 2026

Window 3- 18 May – 23 May 2026

SSC GD Exam City & Admit Card Dates

The exam city intimation slip is expected to be released by 17th April 2026 (10 days before the exam date). The SSC GD Admit Card 2026 will be released region-wise on the respective SSC regional websites approximately 3 to 4 days before the exam starts. Candidates can download their hall tickets by logging in with their Registration Number and Date of Birth.
