The SEBI Grade A Phase 1 exam has sucessfully conduced 10th January 2026 for thousands of candidates who have applied for 90 vacancies of Grade A officer posts. The duration of the SEBI Grade A Prelims Exam is 1 hour 40 minutes, with sectional timing of 60 minutes for Paper 1 and 40 minutes for Paper 2.

SEBI Grade A Prelims Exam Analysis 2026
Based on previous years’ exams, the difficulty level of the SEBI Grade A 2025–26 Phase 1 exam is moderate. SEBI Phase 1 consists of two papers of 100 marks each, conducted online as objective‑type tests. Paper 1 includes General Awareness (with basic finance), English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability, carrying 100 marks in 60 minutes. There is a sectional cut‑off of 30% in Paper 1 and an aggregate cut‑off of 40% across both papers, with negative marking of 1/4th mark.
SEBI Grade A Exam Analysis 2026 Good Attempt
The SEBI Grade A Prelims (Phase 1) exam is generally of a moderate level overall, with section-wise variation where Quant and Reasoning tend to feel more time‑consuming than English, and General Awareness often becomes the real game‑changer for the cut-off.
