Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released a notice on 28th November 2025 regarding the RPSC Assistant Professor Exam Date 2025 on its official website, https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in/. As per the notice, the examination will be conducted in multiple sessions. RPSC Assistant Professor Exam Date 2025 Out

On 28th November 2025, RPSC released the notice for the Assistant Professor Competitive Examination 2025, which will be held in multiple sessions. The Rajasthan General Knowledge (Paper 3) exam is scheduled for 7th December 2025 from 12 pm to 2 pm, and the Optional Subject Papers will be conducted from 8th to 20th December 2025.

• Paper I: 9 am to 12 pm
• Paper II: 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm

The official notification has been released, and the online application process is over for the recruitment. The written examination for the recruitment is scheduled to be held from 7st to 20th December 2025. The hall ticket will be released on 4th December 2025.

RPSC Assistant Professor Vacancy 2025

Under the RPSC Assistant Professor Bharti 2025, a total of 574 vacancies have been released for Assistant Professor posts in 30 subjects for the College Education Department under the Rajasthan Education Service (College Branch) Rules, 1986. The subject-wise vacancies are as follows.

RPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025 Eligibility

Candidates who want to apply for RPSC Assistant Professor Vacancy 2025 must hold a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant subject. Alos, they must have qualified NET/SLET/SET or hold a Ph.D. as per UGC guidelines. The age limit for candidates is 21 to 40 years and candidates must have a working knowledge of Hindi written in the Devanagari script and a familiarity with Rajasthani culture. Educational Qualification

For Posts 1 to 27 (General Subjects)

• Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant subject from a recognized Indian or foreign university.
• The candidate must have cleared NET/SLET/SET, or have a Ph.D. degree according to UGC rules (2009/2016 or updated regulations).
• Candidates who registered for Ph.D. before 11 July 2009 are exempted from NET/SLET/SET if they fulfill the following:

1. Ph.D. awarded in regular mode
2. Thesis evaluated by 2 external examiners
3. Open Viva conducted
4. At least 2 research papers published, one in a reputed journal
5. 2 papers presented in seminars/conferences funded by UGC/CSIR/etc.
6. All conditions must be certified by the Registrar/Dean of the university.
7. If NET/SLET/SET is not conducted in a particular subject, it is not required.

For Posts 28 to 30 (Music, Dance, Fine Arts)

Same educational rules as above, or the Candidate may be a traditional/professional artist with:

1. A Bachelor’s degree
2. Studied under a reputed master (guru)
3. Must be an “A” grade artist of AIR/Doordarshan
4. Must have the ability to explain and teach the subject logically
5. Should have enough knowledge to teach theory and practicals

Age Limit (As on 1/7/2025)

Candidates must be between 21 to 40 years of age for unreserved categories, and the relaxation is according to the government norms.

RPSC Assistant Professor Selection Process 2025

As per the selection process mentioned in the RPSC Assistant Professor Notification 2025, candidates will be selected through a competitive examination followed by an interview.

RPSC Assistant Professor Exam Pattern 2025

The exam pattern for Assisatnt Professor consists of three papers as described as follows:

• Paper 1 and Paper 2 are based on the subject related to the post, each carrying 75 marks with a duration of 3 hours.
• Paper 3  is General Studies of Rajasthan carries 50 marks with 2 hours duration.

Those who clear the written examination will be called for the Interview, which carries 24 marks. Candidates must score at least 36% in each written paper and 40% overall to qualify

RPSC Assistant Professor Salary 2025

Assistant Professors in Rajasthan under RPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025 will get a Pay Band of Rs. 15,600 to Rs. 39,100 with an Academic Grade Pay (AGP) of Rs. 6,000 under Level 10 of the pay matrix.
