Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has announced a total of 850 vacancies (683 in non-scheduled areas and 167 in scheduled areas) for Village Development Officers across the state. The selection process for VDO vacancies is based on a written exam. As per the official notice released on 25th August 2025, the RSSB VDO Exam Date 2025 for Gram Vikas Adhikari posts has been announced for 2nd November 2025 (Sunday). The exam will be held in a single shift at various exam centres throughout the state.

RSSB VDO Exam Date 2025 Out

Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has announced the RSSB VDO Exam Date 2025 through the official notice released on 25th August 2025 at www.rssb.rajasthan.gov.in. As per the official notice, the RSSB VDO exam will be held on 2nd November 2025 (Sunday) in two shifts. The written exam will be held for a total of 5 lakh candidates who have successfully registered for the exam. Detailed information regarding the exam will be released along with the admit card.

Rajasthan VDO Recruitment 2025: Overview

Rajasthan Subordinate Ministerial Services Selection Board (RSMSSB) has set the educational and age criteria to apply for the RSMSSB VDO Exam 2025.

Educational Qualification

• A graduation degree from any recognized university.
• “O” Level or higher certificate conducted by the Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) under the control of the Department of Electronics, Government of India. OR
• A certificate in Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA) or Data Preparation and Computer Software (DPCS) course conducted under the National Council or State Council for Vocational Training. OR
• A Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Application from a university established by law in India. OR
• An RSCIT certificate (Rajasthan State Certificate Course in IT) is conducted by Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota, under the control of Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited (RKCL).

Age Limit (1/1/2026)

Candidates must be 18 years old and do not exceed the age of 40 years are eligible to apply. The age relaxations is as per the government norm as mentioned below.

Rajasthan VDO Salary 2025

The Basic pay for a Village Development Officer (VDO) is Rs. 20,800 as per Level 6 of the 7th Pay Commission. In addition to this they will get extra perk and allowances, like TA, DA, HRA, etc.
