PNB Local Bank Officer Selection Process 2026
To be selected for Local Bank Officer (LBO) posts, candidates have to undergo the 4 stages of the selection process i.e. Online Written Test, Screening, Language Proficiency Test, and Personal Interview. The final merit list will be based on total marks obtained by candidates in the Online Written Test and Personal Interview, subject to qualifying in the Language Proficiency Test.

Punjab National Bank LBO Language Proficiency Test
Qualified candidates in the CBT exam who have not studied the local language of the State for which they have applied as a subject in the 10th or 12th standard will be required to appear in the Local Language Proficiency Test. The PNB LBO Language Proficiency Test is qualifying in nature and assesses a candidate’s reading, writing, and speaking proficiency in the concerned local language.
PNB LBO Personal Interview 2026
Candidates who clear the PNB Local Bank Officer CBT exam and qualify for the Language Proficiency Test (LPT) will be called to appear for a Personal Interview. The Interview will be held for a total of 50 marks. Minimum qualifying marks in the interview shall be 45% i.e., 22.50 for SC/ST candidates & 50% i.e. 25 for other candidates. Candidates who fail to obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the interview shall be disqualified from further selection process.
