Odisha Secondary School Teachers Eligibility Test (OSSTET) was successfully conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, on 21st January 2026. To qualify for the exam, candidates have to score a minimum OSSTET Cut Off/ Minimum Qualifying Mark. OSSTET Cut Off 2026

The OSSTET Result 2026 has been released on 9th April 2026 at the official website http://www.bseodisha.ac.in/. As the Odisha Secondary School Teachers Eligibility Test (OSSTET) exam is an eligibility test, the official cut-off marks are not released by officials. Qualified candidates in the exam will be provided an eligibility OSSTET Certificate 2026 for TGT and Physical Education teacher posts.

OSSTET Minimum Qualifying Marks

Understanding the OSSTET Minimum Qualifying Marks for General, OBC, SC, and ST categories is important for the exam and for estimating the chances of qualifying in the exam.  The passing marks for the General category are 68, while the minimum qualifying marks for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEC candidates are 53 Marks out of 150.

OSSTET Passing Criteria for Paper 1 and Paper 2

OSSTET exam will be conducted in two different parts for prospective teachers in two categories. Qualified candidates in the OSSTET exam will be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the secondary schools of the state.

OSSTET Paper 1 Passing Criteria

Category I is for candidates who wish to teach in Education, Teachers (Trained Graduate Teachers in Science/Arts, Hindi/ Classical Teacher (Sanskrit/ Urdu/Telugu).

• General – 68 Marks out of 150
• SC/ ST/ PH/ SEC – 53 Marks out of 150

OSSTET Paper 2 Passing Criteria

Category II is for candidates who wish to teach as a Physical Education Teacher

• General – 68 Marks out of 150
• SC/ ST/ PH/ SEC – 53 Marks out of 150

OSSTET Certificate Validity After Qualifying

Qualified candidates in the OSSTET exam shall be awarded an OSSTET Pass Certificate by the BSE (O). The Certificate shall remain valid until the candidate reaches the upper age limit prescribed for recruitment of teachers, as per the rules or executive instructions issued by the Government from time to time.
