OSSTET Apply Online 2026

Odisha Secondary School Teachers Eligibility Test (OSSTET) is a state-level exam conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, to assess the eligibility of candidates as secondary teachers in Odisha schools. To be eligible to appear for the OSSTET exam scheduled for 30th September 2026, candidates are advised to complete the application form before the last date, i.e., 30th August 2026. Candidates must note that the applications will be filled through online mode only. No offline forms will be accepted under any circumstances.

Step-by-Step Process to Complete the OSSTET Online Form 2026

  1. Candidates first visit the official website of the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha at http://www.bseodisha.ac.in/.
  2. ODISHA SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST OSSTET – 2026 – Application Form, and click on Click Here for New Registration.
  3. Candidates have to fill in the registration form by filling in the required details such as the candidate’s name, mobile number, and email ID.
  4. To submit the application form, log in using the registered mobile number and password and verify the account through an OTP.
  5. Candidates have to pay the fee as per category through the online payment gateway.
  6. Upload documents, photographs, and certificates as per specifications
  7. Review details and click “YES – FINAL SUBMIT.”
  8. Download the OSSTET Application Form and print it out for future reference.

What is the OSSTET Application Fee 2026

Each candidate must submit a category-wise fee along with the application form. Applications without the fee will not be accepted.

  • General/OBC/SEBC – Rs. 600/-
  • SC/ST – Rs. 400/-

OSSTET Exam 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can check subject-wise educational qualifications from the table below.

  • TGT (Science – PCM/CBZ) – Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in science/B.Tech/B.E. with PCM or CBZ (min. 50%) + B.Ed from an NCTE-recognized institute, or 4-year integrated B.Sc.B.Ed
  • TGT Arts – Candidates must have completed a 4-year integrated B.A.B.Ed, or Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Commerce/Shastri (Sanskrit) with relevant subjects (min. 50%)
  • Hindi Teacher – Bachelor’s degree with Hindi qualification (min. 50%) + recognized Hindi teaching training
  • Classical Teacher Urdu – Alim/B.A. (Persian) with 50% + Urdu B.Ed
  • Classical Teacher Telugu – Candidates must have Bachelor’s in Arts with Telugu (50%) + B.Ed
  • Classical Teacher Sanskrit – Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s with Sanskrit (50%) + Siksha Shastri (Sanskrit)
  • Physical Education – 10+2 (50%) + B.P.Ed/M.P.Ed/C.P.Ed
