OSSSC Radiographer Notification 2026 Out: 240 Group C Posts, Registration Dates

The Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission has released the OSSSC Radiographer Notification 2026 for filling 240 Group-C posts of Radiographer. This opportunity is for district-level positions, meaning selected candidates will be posted and transferred within the allotted districts.

Fresh candidates, who have not applied for any previous recruitments, and candidates who have registered before for any other post need to finish their registration process before submitting their online applications. OSSSC Radiographer Job and Duties?

Once posted at a district hospital, CHC, or PHC under the Health & Family Welfare Department, a Radiographer’s day-to-day work typically includes:

  • Operating imaging equipment: Operate X-ray machines and, where available, CT and other diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain clear images required for medical diagnosis.
  • Positioning patients: Position patients correctly for different imaging procedures and explain the process to ensure their safety and cooperation.
  • Following radiation-safety protocols: Use the minimum radiation dose necessary to obtain diagnostically useful images and follow prescribed radiation-protection practices.
  • Processing and maintaining images: Process, organise, store, and maintain diagnostic images and related records of patients.
  • Ensuring radiation protection: Follow safety measures for patients and staff, including the appropriate use of equipment.

  • Passed +2 Science Examination under the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha, or an equivalent examination.
  • Passed Diploma in Medical Radiation Technology (DMRT) or Bachelor in Medical Radiation Technology (BMRT) from a Government Medical College and Hospital of Odisha or another institution recognised by the Government of Odisha or AICTE.
  • Registered their name with the Radiographers Council in the State and possessed a valid Registration or Renewal Certificate on the date of submission of the online application.
  • Fulfilled the prescribed Odia language requirement.

  • Passing Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject, OR
