OPSC Assistant Section Officer Selection Process 2025
The selection process for the Assistant Section Officer (ASO) posts consists of two stages
- Written Examination- This is the first stage, which carries 400 marks; candidates must clear the written exam to be called for the Skill Test.
- Skill test- This is the second stage to check the computer knowledge of the candidates. This test is qualifying in nature and carries 50 marks.
OPSC ASO Exam Pattern 2025
The exam for Assistant Section Officer consists of 3 papers as provided in the table:
- Paper 1 and Paper 2 have 100 questions each and must be completed in 1.5 hours (Each paper)
- Paper 3 is a language paper that includes English and Odia, each carries 100 marks and must be completed in 2 hours
- Each question carries 100 marks
- 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect attempt.
- The minimum qualifying marks for the UR category are 35%, for SC/ ST/ PWD is 30%.
- Those who clear the examination will have to appear for the skill test of 5 marks
