What is JTET?
JTET (Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test) is a state-level eligibility exam conducted by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) under the Government of Jharkhand. The exam determines the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in primary (Classes 1–5) and upper primary (Classes 6–8) schools across the state. The validity of the certificate received after qualifying for the test is for a lifetime, and there is no restriction on the number of attempts.

Who Is Eligible to Apply for Jharkhand TET Exam 2026
Candidates need to be eligible for the JTET 2026 exam as per the eligibility norms specified by the official authorities. Age limit and educational qualifications are considered for evaluating eligibility for teachers’ posts in primary and upper primary classes.
For Paper I
The first paper for the Jharkhand TET examination will be held for candidates who want to become teachers for classes I to Vth. So, the eligibility criteria for Paper I are specified below.

JTET 2026 Application Fee

How to Apply for Jharkhand TET Exam 2026?

- You are now redirected to the registration form-filling portal.
- Registered yourself by entering relevant details along with a working e-mail ID and mobile number.
- Once the registration is completed, log in to the application portal and start filling out the JTET Application Form 2026.

- After proceeding further, you are redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the application/examination fee as per your specific category.

Minimum Qualifying Marks
