HPPSC PGT Exam Date 2024 Out

Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has released the tentative exam dates for conducting Screening Tests and Subject Aptitude Test (SAT) for the post of Lecturer (School-New). The HPPSC PGT Examination 2024 is going to commence from 29th March 2024 onwards. Selection of the candidates for the same vacancies will be done through the written examination and document verification. Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) is going to recruit a total of 585 vacancies of Post Graduate Teachers (PGT)/ School Lecturers for various subjects i.e. English, Hindi, Political Science, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Commerce in the Department of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh. HPPSC PGT Recruitment 2023 online application link has been activated on the official website of HPPSC  www.hppsc.hp.gov.in. HPPSC PGT Recruitment 2023 Application Fee

Candidates have to pay a fixed amount to complete the application forms as mentioned in the notification pdf. Candidates belong to the general category and other state candidates have to pay Rs. 400/- and the reserved category application fee is Rs. 100/- and female candidates are exempted from the application fee. The application fee will be paid in online mode by Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI/ any other online digital mode. The category-wise application fee is mentioned below in the table.

Steps to Apply Online for HPPSC PGT Recruitment 2023

Eligible candidates can apply online for HPPSC PGT Recruitment 2023 through the official website of HPPSC. Here we have provided the step-by-step process to submit the application forms for PGT posts.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) at www.hppsc.hp.gov.in.

Step 2: On the homepage click on the link “Apply Online”.

Step 3: A new page appears on the screen, click on the link “One Time Registration (OTR) for Examinations”

Step 4: A new tab appears on the screen if candidates are not registered already, register and create their profile by clicking on “New Registration”

Step 5: After completing the registration or if already registered the candidate has to log into their account on the OTR page.

Step 6: The candidate has to apply for a particular post.

Step 7: Upload all required documents as per the prescribed format.

Step 8: Submit the application fee in the online mode as per category and click on the submit button.

HPPSC PGT Recruitment 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Before submitting application forms for PGT posts candidates are advised to carefully read the notification pdf and ensure their eligibility in terms of educational qualification and age limit to apply online for HPPSC Recruitment 2023. The eligibility criteria for PGT posts are as follows.

HPPSC PGT Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the requisite educational qualifications as mentioned in the notification pdf prescribed for the posts for which they want to apply. Education qualification for PGT posts is as follows.

• Candidates must have passed Matriculation and 10+2 from any school/institution situated within Himachal Pradesh.
• Candidates must possess their Master’s Degree in the Concerned Subject and have completed their Bachelor of Degree in B.ED (Education) or Bachelor of Degree in two years integrated M.SC.ED. Course.

HPPSC PGT Age Limit (as on 01/01/2023)

Candidates’ ages should be between 18 to 45 years as on 01/01/2023 to apply online for HPPSC PGT posts. Age relaxation will be provided only to the reserved candidates, who are bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh. Other states of reserved category candidates will be treated as a general category.

• Minimum Age- 18 years
• Maximum Age- 45 years

HPPSC PGT Selection Process

To be selected for the Post Graduate Teachers (PGT)/ School Lecturer posts candidates have to undergo the written examination followed by document verification. Qualified candidates in the written examination will be called for Document verification.

1. Written Examination: The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) will conduct the HPPSC PGT Written Examination 2023 for Post Graduate Teachers (PGT)/School Lecturer posts. HPPSC PGT Exam consists of 2 papers, Paper 1 is qualifying in nature, and on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the Paper 2 exam, a merit list will be prepared and candidates will be eligible to appear for document verification.
2. Document Verification: Qualified candidates in the HPPSC PGT Written examination will be called for document verification. Candidates have to process the Original certificates at the time of Document Verification.

HPPSC PGT Exam Pattern 2023

• HPPSC PGT written exam consists of objective multiple-choice questions (MCQ).
• The HPPSC PGT exam consists of 2 papers.
• This paper 1 is a qualifying paper only and candidates are required to obtain 35% pass marks in this paper.
• There will be a negative marking 1/4 mark (0.25) will be deducted for wrong answers.
• The language of the paper will be Hindi and English.

HPPSC PGT Recruitment 2023 Salary

Selected candidates for Post Graduate Teachers (PGT)/School Lecturer posts in the Department of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh will be paid a monthly salary of Rs. 43000 -136000/-. The salary details for PGT posts are mentioned below in the table.
