On behalf of Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) is going to conduct the EMRS Staff Selection Exam (ESSE). As per the official notice released on 25th February 2026, EMRS Tier 2 Exam Date 2026 has been announced for 22nd, 23rd, 24th, and 25th March 2026. Through the recruitment exam, a total of 7,267 vacancies will be recruited for both teaching and non-teaching positions at Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) across the country.
EMRS Tier 2 Exam Date 2026 Out
National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) will conduct the EMRS Staff Selection Exam (ESSE) Tier 2 Examination on 22nd, 23rd, 24th, and 25th March 2026 in two shifts, forenoon and afternoon shifts. Candidates who have cleared Tier 1 can now check the full Tier 2 schedule and plan their final preparation accordingly.

What is the EMRS Tier 2 Exam 2026?
EMRS (Eklavya Model Residential Schools) Recruitment Examination is conducted by NESTS under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs to fill teaching and non-teaching posts across tribal residential schools in India. EMRS Tier 2 Exam is going to be conducted for Tier 1 Qualified Candidates. Qualified candidates in the Tier 2 Exam will be shortlisted for the Document Verification process or Personal interaction / Interview (Principal).
Through the exam, a total of 7267 vacancies will be recruited for Principal, Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), Hostel Wardens (Male/Female), Female Staff Nurse, Accountant, Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Lab Attendant posts.
EMRS ESSE 2025- Who is Eligible for Tier 2
Only those candidates who qualified in the Tier 1 Exam by scoring post-wise cut-off marks in Tier 1 are eligible to appear for Tier 2. The official Tier 2 Exam Date for Eklavya Model Residential Schools Staff Selection Exam (ESSE-2025) has been officially released by NESTS under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. EMRS Tier 2 Exam will be conducted from 22nd to 25th March 2026.
EMRS Tier 2 Admit Card 2026
The admit card Tier 2 Exam for EMRS Staff Selection Exam (ESSE) will be released 3 to 5 days before the exam date at the official website https://nests.tribal.gov.in/. Further details, including exam timing, exam venue etc will be released along with the candidates’ respective admit cards.

EMRS Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Candidates will be selected for the EMRS Recruitment 2025 on the basis of their performance in the written test. Those candidates who clear the written exam will be called to appear for an interview round. The final merit list will be based on the score in the written test and interview.
