Why Has SSC Uploaded the Revised GD Constable Result Lists?

SSC received representations from candidates who wanted clarification about the categories displayed in List I and List II of the candidates provisionally shortlisted for the next stage.

Some candidates had applied under SC, ST, OBC, EWS or ESM categories but qualified the CBE using the standards prescribed for UR candidates. As a result, their category appeared as UR in the earlier lists.

The Commission has now uploaded detailed lists that distinguish between two pieces of information:

  • Category applied under: The category selected by the candidate while submitting the online application form.
  • Category considered against: The category against which the candidate was considered for shortlisting under the applicable examination provisions.

What Happens Next?

Candidates provisionally shortlisted in the SSC GD Constable CBE result will proceed to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST), subject to the applicable examination rules and subsequent instructions from SSC. The PET assesses candidates’ physical efficiency through the prescribed physical tasks, while the PST checks physical standards specified for the recruitment.
