SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Date 2026 Out at ssc.gov.in, Check Official Schedule

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the SSC CGL Exam Date for Tier 1 through an official notice on 12 September 2026. The SSC CGL Exam 2026 will be conducted on multiple days from 30 September to 30 October 2026. The computer-based exam will be conducted for around 29 lakh candidates who have registered for 12256 vacancies. The exact exam date and shift timing will be informed through city intimation and admit cards.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Date 2026 Out

Around a total of 29 lakh candidates have applied for the SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination for 12256 Group B and Group C posts in different government departments, for which the Tier 1 exam will be conducted in about 1 month. The exam consists of 4 sections with 100 questions and 200 marks: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will mention shift timings in the candidate’s respective city intimation slips. As per the previous year’s trends, the exam can be held in 4 shifts, for which timing is as follows-

SSC CGL Tier 1 City Intimation & Admit Card Date

The Commission has not yet officially announced the exact release dates for the SSC CGL Tier 1 City Intimation Slip and Admit Card. Based on the expected examination schedule, the city information is released 10 days before the exam date, and the admit card is released 3 days before the exam date. The exam city slip will be released on 22 September 2026, and the admit card will be released on 27 September 2026. The candidates can download their hall ticket by entering their Registration Number and Password/ Date of Birth.

SSC CGL Tier I Exam Structure 2026

SSC CGL Tier I Exam consists of a total of 100 MCQ-based questions for a total of 200 marks. The duration of the exam will be 1 Hour. There is negative marking: 0.50 marks will be deducted for a wrong answer.
