Eligibility Criteria for UP Food Safety Officer Vacancy 2026

Candidates applying for the UPPSC Food Safety Officer Recruitment 2026 must fulfil the eligibility conditions prescribed in the official notification. The eligibility includes educational qualification and age limit.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology or Dairy Technology or Biotechnology or Oil Technology or Agricultural Science or Veterinary Sciences or Biochemistry or Microbiology or a Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry or a Degree in Medicine from a recognised University, or any other equivalent/recognised qualification notified by the Central Government.
• A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree or Doctorate from a recognised University or institution in the following disciplines:-

Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years.

• Minimum Age – 21 years
• Maximum Age – 40 years
• Candidates from UR category must not have been born earlier than 2nd July, 1986 and not later than July 01, 2005
• For PH candidates, the maximum age limit is 55 years i.e. they must not have been born before 02 July, 1971

UP Food Safety Officer Salary 2026

Candidates appointed for Food Safety Officer (FSO) posts will be paid a monthly salary in pay scale Rs. 44,900 – Rs. 1,42,400. Along with the monthly salary, candidates will be offered various allowances and perks.
