If you missed the SSC CGL 2026 deadline, here is some good news: SSC has reopened the online application window for a short period. The Staff Selection Commission originally closed the form on 22nd June 2026. However, after receiving requests from many candidates who could not apply in time, the Commission has reopened the application for everyone.
The application link is now live till 25th June 2026 (11:00 PM). If you have been waiting or faced any technical issues earlier, do not delay, this window closes in just two days.
Quick Update:
- Over 28 lakh candidates already applied during the original window (21st May – 22nd June 2026).
- Application window re-opened from 23rd June to 25th June 2026 (11 pm)
- Fee payment deadline extended to 26th June 2026 (11:00 pm).
- Correction window: 1st July to 3rd July 2026.
- Tier 1 Exam: August–September 2026 (Tentative).

Why is the Application Window Reopened?
Following the original deadline of 22nd June 2026, SSC had received several representations from candidates who said they could not submit their forms in time – because of technical glitches, internet issues or other personal reasons. Taking a considerate view of these requests, the Commission gave one more opportunity to aspirants. The window has just been re-opened for another two days, so if you are one of those candidates, do not waste a minute.

Who Can Apply?
Candidates who haven’t submitted their applications during the original registration period. Before you rush to fill the form, make sure you meet the basic eligibility criteria:
- Educational Qualification:- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Certain posts like JSO or AAO may need a specific qualification – check the official notification PDF for post-wise qualification details.
- Age Limit: 18 to 32 Years as on 1st August, 2026.
- Age Relaxation: OBC – 3 years SC/ST – 5 years PwBD – 10 years (As per government norms)
- Nationality: Indian citizen (or eligible as per SSC norms for Nepal/Bhutan/PIO candidates)
