The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has uploaded the official SSC GD Answer Key 2026 along with the individual response sheet on 15th June 2026 at its official website, www.ssc.gov.in. To download the provisional answer key, candidates need their username/registration number and password (generated at the time of registration). SSC GD Answer Key 2026 Released

The answer key has been released for around 20 lakh candidates who have appeared in the SSC GD Constable CBT Exam conducted from 27th April to 31st May 2026. Candidates can download SSC GD 2026 answer key to cross-check their marked answers with the correct ones to calculate their tentative scores and predict their qualifying status before the release of the results.

SSC GD Answer Key Download link is now active at www.ssc.gov.in and candidates can raise the objections or challenge the provisional answer key between 15th to 20th June 2026 (6 pm).

Candidates who appeared in the CBT exam from 27th April to 30th May 2026 can now download the provisional answer key and response sheet from www.ssc.gov.in or directly from the official link shared below. How to Download SSC GD Answer Key 2026 from ssc.gov.in?

1. Go to the official website of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) at www.ssc.gov.in.
2. Now, click on “Answer Key” appearing on the right side of the homepage.
3. The tentative answer keys, along with the candidates’ response sheets for the Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau Examination-2026, are now being uploaded.
4. Now, click on the “Login and Register” tab on the top right side of the home page.
5. A new page appears on the screen. Enter Your Username (Registration Number) and Password (SSC Registration Password).
6. Download the answer key PDF for future records.

Important: The website may not be working properly due to heavy load as more than 20 lakh candidates who appeared in the exam are trying to download their answer key at a single time. You are advised to wait for a litte bit and try again. If still the problem persists, you must try at odd hours i.e. early morning or late night.

How to Raise Objection Against SSC GD Answer Key?

Candidates are also allowed to raise an objection if they find any answer incorrect in the provisional answer key from 15th to 20th June 2026. While raising the objection, candidates also have to provide valid proof to justify their objections, along with the fee. After reviewing all the objections raised by the candidates, the officials will release the final answer key, which they will use to prepare the results.

New Objection Rule: Under the new rules, wrong or ambiguous questions will be dropped and full marks awarded to all candidates, while questions with multiple correct answers will grant marks to anyone who chose a valid option. All objections are reviewed solely on merit by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) — the number of objections raised has no bearing on acceptance. Minor or technical errors without meaningful impact will be rejected.

Steps to Challenge the SSC GD Official Answer Key?

• Log in to the SSC website using your registration number and password.
• Then, under “My Applications,” click on “Answer Key Challenge.”
• Select for the SSC General Duty Constable Examination-2026.
• Again, a login page appears, where you have to enter your role number and password.
• Select the question you want to raise objections for or challenge.
• Pay a fee of Rs. 50/- for each objection.
• Repeat the process from point 5 to raise more objections.

SSC GD Constable 2026 Marking Scheme

Candidates appearing for the SSC GD Constable Computer-Based Examination 2025 should use the marking scheme from the exam to calculate their tentative scores. Candidates are awarded 2 marks for each correct answer. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for attempting one wrong answer.

• For each correct answer, 2 marks will be awarded.
• For each incorrect answer, there is a penalty of 0.25 marks. This negative marking applies to each incorrect response.
• No marks will be given for unanswered questions.

How to Calculate Marks Using the Official SSC GD Answer Key 2026?

Candidates must ensure they use the correct marking scheme, i.e., add 2 marks for each correct answer and subtract 0.25 marks for each wrong answer to estimate their tentative scores.

1. Count Correct Responses: Go through your official response sheet and tally the total number of questions you answered correctly.
2. Calculate Positive Marks: Multiply the number of correct responses by 2 (Each correct answer is worth +2 marks).
3. Count Incorrect Responses: Tally the total number of questions you marked incorrectly.
4. Calculate Penalty Marks: Multiply your incorrect responses by 0.25 (A penalty of -0.25 marks applies to each wrong answer).
5. Compute Final Score: Subtract your total penalty marks from your positive marks to get your estimated raw score. Unattempted questions yield 0 marks and are ignored.
