The selection process for Assistant Lineman posts in Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) includes an online written examination followed by document verification and medical examination. The candidates qualified in all stages of the selection process will be recruited for 3000 Assistant Lineman (ALM) posts.

PSPCL ALM 2026 Exam Pattern

Part I- Punjabi Language Test is a compulsory test comprising 50 multiple-choice questions. To pass, a candidate is required to score a minimum of 50% (25 marks). In case a candidate fails to achieve the minimum qualifying marks, they will be disqualified

Part 2- In this section, examination will be conducted in English and Punjabi, except for the Punjabi language questions, which will be in Punjabi only.

• The candidate will have the option to select the preferred language of the examination.
• Part 2 will comprise 150 Multiple-choice questions with 1 mark for each correct answer.
• There will be no negative marking.
• The Paper will be for 3 hours.

PSPCL ALM Salary Structure

The PSPCL Assistant Lineman (ALM) salary structure starts with a basic pay of Rs. 19,990 per month, and during the 3-year probation period, candidates generally receive only this fixed amount without major allowances like DA or HRA, making the in-hand salary around Rs. 19,000–Rs. 20,000.

After successful completion of probation, the full pay structure is applicable, including allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Transport Allowance, which increases the in-hand salary to approximately Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 35,000 or more.
