PSPCL ALM Recruitment 2026 Out for 3000 Assistant Lineman Vacancies

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 3000 Assistant Lineman (ALM) posts through Advt No. CRA 315/26 on 7th April 2026. Candidates with an ITI (Electrician/Wireman) qualification can apply online for the released vacancies from 15th April 2026 onwards at www.pspcl.in.

PSPCL Assistant Lineman Eligibility Criteria 2026

The candidates must be aware of the eligibility criteria for the PSPCL Assistant Lineman posts before proceeding to the online application and registration process.

PSPCL Assistant Lineman Educational Qualification

Applicants can apply online for PSPCL Assistant Lineman Recruitment 2026 if they meet the following educational requirements.

• Candidates must have completed Punjabi as a subject in high school or the tenth grade.
• A National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in Lineman Trade is required of candidates.
• Candidates with higher education, such as a degree or diploma in electrical engineering, will only be taken into consideration if they also meet the requirements, such as a National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade.

The minimum age requirement for PSPCL Recruitment 2026 applicants is 18 years old, and the maximum age requirement is 37 years old.

PSPCL ALM Selection Process 2026

The selection process for Assistant Lineman posts in Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) includes an online written examination followed by document verification and medical examination. The candidates qualified in all stages of the selection process will be recruited for 3000 Assistant Lineman (ALM) posts.

PSPCL ALM 2026 Exam Pattern

Part I- Punjabi Language Test is a compulsory test comprising 50 multiple-choice questions. To pass, a candidate is required to score a minimum of 50% (25 marks). In case a candidate fails to achieve the minimum qualifying marks, they will be disqualified

Part 2- In this section, examination will be conducted in English and Punjabi, except for the Punjabi language questions, which will be in Punjabi only.

• The candidate will have the option to select the preferred language of the examination.
• Part 2 will comprise 150 Multiple-choice questions with 1 mark for each correct answer.
• There will be no negative marking.
• The Paper will be for 3 hours.

PSPCL ALM Salary Structure

The PSPCL Assistant Lineman (ALM) salary structure starts with a basic pay of Rs. 19,990 per month, and during the 3-year probation period, candidates generally receive only this fixed amount without major allowances like DA or HRA, making the in-hand salary around Rs. 19,000–Rs. 20,000.

After successful completion of probation, the full pay structure is applicable, including allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Transport Allowance, which increases the in-hand salary to approximately Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 35,000 or more. Overall, the pay scale grows over time along with benefits, promotions, and government job perks, making it a stable and rewarding career in the long run.
