West Bengal Panchayat Vacancy 2026: Increased to 11,000 Posts

Earlier, the Panchayat Department had planned to fill around 6,500 vacancies. This number has now been increased by nearly 4,500, taking the total to approximately 11,000 vacancies. Educational Qualification

• Gram Panchayat Karmi (Worker) – Candidates must have passed Class 8
• Gram Panchayat Sahayak (Assistant) – Completed Madhyamik (Class 10) with a minimum of 50% marks
• Data Entry Operator (DEO) – Madhyamik + 6-month govt-approved Computer Course
• Panchayat Secretary – Passed Higher Secondary (HS/Class 12)
• Nirman Sahayak (Construction Assistant) – Must Have a Civil Engineering Diploma

The WB Gram Panchayat Exam is a state-level competitive recruitment exam to recruit staff for local government bodies, including Gram Panchayats, Panchayat Samitis, and Zilla Parishads.
