NDA 1 Result 2026 Out at upsc.gov.in, NDA NA Merit List PDF

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the roll number-wise NDA 1 Result PDF for National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (I), 2026 on 8th May 2026. Candidates who appeared in the NDA 1 Exam on 12th April 2026 for 394 posts can now know their qualifying status for the SSB interview by searching their roll number in the list.

UPSC NDA Result has been released online in PDF format with the roll numbers of provisionally shortlisted candidates for the NDA interview round. Candidates whose roll numbers appear in the merit list should prepare for the SSB stage, which is the next major step after the written exam and have to register themselves online on the Indian Army Recruiting website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in, within two weeks of the declaration of the result. The successful candidates would then be allotted Selection centres and dates of the SSB interview via their registered email.

Candidates whose roll numbers appear in the merit list should prepare for the SSB stage, which is the next major step after the written exam. How to Check UPSC NDA 1 Result 2026?

  1. Visit the official website of the Union Public Service Commission at www.upsc.gov.in.
  2. On the homepage, click on the “Examinations” tab and select “Written Results” from the dropdown.
  3. Now, click on Download PDF against “National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (I), 2026”.
  4. Open the NDA 2 Result PDF and search for your roll number with the Ctrl+F shortcut.
  5. If your roll number is mentioned in the merit list, congratulations, you are shortlisted for the SSB Interview.

Note: The UPSC NDA mark sheets of the candidates will be put on the Commission’s website within fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of the final result. (After concluding SSB Interviews) and will remain available on the website for a period of thirty (30) days.

UPSC NDA 1 Interview Schedule

Qualified candidates in the NDA 1 written exam are called to appear for the SSC interview exam. The interview exam consists of two stages: stage I (Screening Test) and stage II (Psychological Test, Group Testing Officers Test, Personal Interview, and Conference).

Day 1 Screening Test The Officers’ Intelligence Test comprises fundamental aptitude questions related to both verbal and nonverbal reasoning.
PPDT In the Picture Perception and Discussion Test, candidates are shown a picture for 30 seconds and then asked to write a story based on what they saw. A group discussion will then be conducted based on the same image
Day 2 Psychological Test The candidates will be shown 11 pictures, with the last one being a blank slide. Each picture will be displayed for 30 seconds, and candidates will have 4 minutes to write a story based on the picture they see.
Word Association Test (WAT) – Candidates are shown 60 words consecutively for 15 seconds each. They are then required to write a sentence based on each word within the given 15 seconds
Situation Reaction Test (SRT) – Candidates will be given 60 situations in a booklet, and within 30 minutes, they need to write their response based on that situation.
Self-Description Test (SD) – Self Description, where candidates will be given 15 minutes to write their opinion on themselves, parents, friends and teacher.

Day 4 Personal Interview This is the stage where the candidate will face the Interviewing Officer face-to-face, and the general questions will be asked of the candidates. It plays the deciding factor in getting recommended for the final selection

UPSC NDA 1 Marksheet 2026

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will release the NDA Marksheet within 15 days of the final result’s publication on its official website www.upsc.gov.in. The mark sheets will remain available on the website for 30 days. The NDA 1 mark sheet will contain the candidate’s marks in the written exam and interview exam.
