AFCAT 1 Result 2026- AFSB Seat Selection
The written exam-qualified candidates will have to appear for AFSB Testing, after which they will be shortlisted as Flying officers and sent for training. On completion of training, flight cadet candidates are commissioned as Flying Officers, and after 3 years of service, the flying officers will then be promoted to Flying Lieutenant on passing the department test.
- After clearing the online AFCAT 1/2026 written exam, the qualified candidates have to register for the AFSB Interview Test.
- Registration for the AFSB can be done through the official website using a mail Id and password as generated for the online examination.
- After completing the registration process, the candidates will be provided with the AFSB exam date and exam centre through their registered phone number & email.
- Download and carefully read the AFSB Call Letter; it contains essential reporting instructions.
- Arrange all required documents, 10th & 12th marksheets, graduation certificates, NCC certificate (if applicable), and at least 20 passport-sized photographs.
- Begin preparation for the AFSB 5-day process to improve physical fitness, communication skills, and situational awareness.
AFCAT 2026 Selection Procedure
The selection procedure of AFCAT involves 4 rounds, which are as follows:
Written examination: This stage comprises multiple-choice questions. Candidates have to complete their 100 questions of AFCAT and 50 questions of EKT in 2 hours and 45 minutes, respectively.
Psychological test: A written psychological test is taken by psychologists, after which an interview is conducted. The interview involves a personal conversation with an interviewing officer. Candidates applying for the flying branches have to undergo a computerised pilot selection system (CPSS) test.
Medical examination: Candidates must fulfill the required medical criteria as prescribed by the conducting body.
