BPSC Junior Engineer Selection Process 2026

BPSC will recruit the 534 eligible candidates for the post of Junior Engineer. In this recruitment process, candidates go through multiple stages, such as written examination, work experience and document verification.

Written Examination: The first stage of this selection process is a written test, which will be conducted online (CBT) mode. Questions will be asked in this test from engineering subjects and GS.

Evaluation of Work Experience: The work experience covered the 25% weightage of the total score.

Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for the document verification. In the document verification, candidates must present the original documents.

BPSC JE Exam Pattern 2026

The BPSC JE Exam will be conducted to recruit qualified engineers for the civil department in the Bihar government. Understanding the BPSC JE Exam Pattern is important for every candidate who is preparing for this exam.

  • The written exam will be conducted in offline mode.
  • There is a total of 6 papers (4 Compulsory + 2 Optional) in this exam.
  • Candidates can choose a maximum of two Optional Papers and a minimum of 1 paper from an engineering-specific subject.
  • Each Paper Consist of 100 Questions for 100 marks.
  • The duration of the exam is 1 hour per paper.
  • 1 mark awarded for each right answer.
  • There is no negative marking in this exam.
