ISRO SAC 2026 Application Fees

After successfully filling in all the details in the application form, candidates have to pay an application fee to complete the application process. The application fee will be paid online through the debit card, credit card, UPI, internet banking, etc. Initially, all the applicants have to pay a uniform Rs. 750 as an application fee. If candidates appear in the written test, then they will be eligible to refund the application fee.

  • Refund in full for candidates who are exempted from the payments of the application fee (SC/ST/PWD/Ex-serviceman/Women).
  • Other candidates will be refunded Rs. 500 after deducting the application fee.

ISRO SAC Scientist/Engineer Selection Process

Candidates who are applying for the post of scientist and engineer will be shortlisted on the basis of written examination and personal interview. Candidates who qualify for the written exam will be called for the personal interview.

Stage 1: Written Exam – ISRO will conduct the written examination for all the registered candidates. The exam will be conducted in offline mode. The written exam will consist of three parts Part A will cover the discipline-specific part, Part B will consist of an aptitude test, and Part C will be a descriptive paper. Part C is only applicable for M.E. and M.Tech.-based recruitments.

Stage -2: Personal Interview – Based on performance in the written test, candidates will be shortlisted for the interview. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the written test and personal interview.

ISRO SAC Scientist/Engineer Exam Pattern 2026

The exam pattern for the ISRO Scientist and Engineer is mentioned below.

Part A: Questions from Discipline Specific part

  • There are 80 multiple-choice questions for 80 marks. for M.Sc based recruitment and 60 MCQs for M.E. and M.Tech.-based recruitment.
  • Each question carries 1 mark.
  • 1/3rd mark deducted for each wrong answer.

Part B: Aptitude Test

  • There are 15 objective-type questions asked for 20 marks
  • In this section negative marking is not applicable.

Part C: Descriptive Questions

  • A descriptive paper will be conducted for M.E. and M.Tech based recruitments. The questions will be asked from a discipline-specific perspective.

ISRO SAC Scientist/Engineer Salary 2026

Candidates who will be selected for the ISRO SAC Scientist/Engineer will be paid a monthly fixed salary. Along with the salary, candidates also get the various types of allowanes, like DA, HRA, TA, medical allowances and many other allowances.

  • Selected candidates get the basic pay of INR 56,100 per month.
  • After including allowances and deduction the gross salary is approximately 84,000.
