A total of 606 vacancies for Junior Engineer posts have been notified by Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) with the release of the short OSSC JE Notification 2026 PDF. Out of the total vacancies, 202 vacancies have been reserved for women candidates.

OSSC JE Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Not all candidates are eligible to appear in the Combined Technical Services Recruitment Examination (CTSRE-2025), as the OSSC has set parameters for minimum eligibility criteria, including educational qualifications, age limit, and nationality. As per the previous year’s notification, the OSSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2026 are as follows-

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have completed a Diploma in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification
• A diploma must be obtained from an institution recognized by the Odisha State Council of Technical Education & Vocational Training / Directorate of Technical Education, Odisha

Age Limit

• Minimum Age – 21 years
• Maximum Age – 42 years

OSSC JE Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) will conduct a single stage of the written exam to shortlist eligible candidates for Junior Engineer under various departments of the Government of Odisha. Qualified candidates will be called to appear for the document verification process to verify their documents before appointment.

OSSC Junior Engineer Salary 2026

Selected candidates for Junior Engineer (JE) posts under the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) are offered a monthly salary under Pay Level-9. Along with the basic pay, Junior Engineers are entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other admissible allowances as per Odisha Government norms.
