OSSC CPGL Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the requirements to apply for the Odisha CPGLE Recruitment 2026. Candidates should be able to read, write, and speak Odia fluently, and must fulfill at least one of the following:

  • Passed Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject.
  • Passed HSC or equivalent with Odia as the medium of instruction in non-language subjects.
  • Passed Odia as a language subject in Class VII or above from a recognized school.
  • Passed a test in Odia (Middle English School standard) conducted by the School and Mass Education Department, Govt. of Odisha.

OSSC CPGL Selection Process 2026

There will be three stages to select Physical Education Instructors, Art Education Instructor and Teachers in various subjects.

Stage I: Preliminary Examination (150 Marks): Information about question type, exam mode, duration, and number of questions will be updated on the OSSC website. Candidates six times the number of vacancies (category-wise) will be shortlisted for the Main Written Examination based on their marks.

Stage II: Main Written Examination (200 marks): Exam may be conducted in OMR mode or Computer-Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE) mode

Negative marking applies for wrong answers:

1/4th of marks for 4-option questions
1/3rd of marks for 3-option questions

Stage III: Certificate Verification (CV): Candidates two times the number of vacancies (post-wise and category-wise) will be shortlisted for CV based on Main Exam scores.
