AFMS Medical Officer Recruitment 2025 Summary

Online applications are invited from Indian citizens, both male and female under AFMS MO Recruitment 2025. Candidates must have a maximum age limit of 30 years with an MBBS degree, and 35 years with a Postgraduate (PG) degree.

AFMS MO Recruitment 2025 Eligibility

Candidates must fulfil the age and education requirements set by the AFMS. Those who do not meet these requirements will be disqualified at any stage of the recruitment process.

Educational Qualifications

• Candidates who have passed their final MBBS exams (both Part-I and Part-II) in not more than two attempts.
• Only those candidates who have completed their internship on or before 31 Jul 2025 can apply.
• Candidates who have qualified in the NEET PG exam.
• Doctors with a Post Graduate degree do not need to appear for NEET PG again, their previous NEET PG marks will be considered.
• Candidates who took more than two attempts to pass the final MBBS exams are not eligible and should not apply.
• The candidate must have a medical qualification recognized under the National Medical Council Act, 2019
• The candidate must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council, NMC, or MCI
• Candidates with a recognized postgraduate degree can also apply.

Age Criteria (31/12/2025)

• For MBBS degree holders, the candidate must be under 30 years old.
• For postgraduate degree holders, the candidate must be under 35 years old.

To apply for the AFMS Medical Officer Recruitment 2025, candidates must follow these simple steps:

• Visit the Official Website of AFMS at www.join.afms.gov.in
• Click on “NEW REGISTRATION” and follow the instructions.
• Enter all required personal, academic, and NEET PG details.
• Scan and upload the following:

1. Recent passport-size photo (JPEG, up to 100 KB)
2. Class X / Birth Certificate (PDF, up to 200 KB)
3. Final MBBS Part I & II attempt certificate
4. Internship completion certificate
5. NEET PG scorecard

AFMS MO Selection Process 2025

The Selection Process for Medical Officer consists of the following stages:

• Application Shortlisting

1. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on NEET PG marks/percentile.
2. The percentile will be converted into marks out of 200 by multiplying it by 2.
3. A merit list will be created separately for male and female candidates.
4. Those with the highest converted scores will be called for interview.

• Interview

1. Interviews will be held at Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantt.
2. Conducted by a Board of Officers.
3. First-time candidates will get travel reimbursement for AC III tier train or government bus.
4. No travel allowance if you live within the city of interview.

• Medical Examination

1. After qualifying the interview, candidates must go through a Special Medical Board (SMB).
2. If declared Unfit, candidates can apply for an Appeal Medical Board (AMB).
3. Final Review Medical Board (RMB) may be allowed at the discretion of authorities.
4. Pregnancy at any stage will result in being Temporarily Unfit.

• Merit List Criteria

1. Candidates must score at least 50% in interview (viva-voce) to qualify.

Final merit is based on:

1. Converted NEET PG marks (out of 200)
2. Interview marks (out of 50)
3. NCC certificate holders get additional marks.
4. Only medically fit candidates from the merit list will get joining instructions.

AFMS Medical Officer Salary 2025

The selected candidates will receive a basic salary of Rs. 61,300 per month, along with additional allowances as per the 7th Pay commission Guidelines.
