SSA Chandigarh TGT Recruitment 2025 Overview

The selection of candidates for TGT will be done on the basis of a written test and document verification. Merit list for selection will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in the Objective Type Test. One objective-type test of 150 Marks will be conducted. SSA Chandigarh TGT Eligibility Criteria 2025

To be eligible to appear for the recruitment process, candidates must fulfill the required eligibility criteria as specified by the Samagra Shiksha. Candidates have to fulfill the eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age limit, for which requirements have been mentioned below.

Educational Qualification

The candidate should possess the essential qualification as on the closing date of Submission of the application.

English (i) Graduate or its equivalent from a recognized University with English as an elective subject with at least 50% marks.
(ii) Bachelor of Education Degree recognized by NCTE with at least 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent with English as a teaching subject.
(iii) Pass in Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (Paper-11) for the post of Master’s/Mistress’s as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable
Punjabi (i) Graduate or its equivalent from a recognized University with Punjabi as an elective subject with at least 50% marks.
(ii) Bachelor of Education Degree recognized by NCTE with at least 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent with Punjabi as teaching subject.
(iii) Pass in Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (Paper-I) for the post of Master’s/Mistresses as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable.
Mathematics (i) Graduate from a recognized university with Mathematics as one of the elective subjects with at least 50% marks;
(ii) Bachelor of Education Degree recognized from an Institute recognized by NCTE with at least 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent with Mathematics as a teaching subject.
(iii) Pass in Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (Paper-II) for the post of Master’s/Mistresses as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable.

OR

(i)4 years integrated B.Sc. B.Ed with Mathematics or an equivalent course with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
(ii) Pass in Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (Paper-II) for the post of Master’s/Mistresses as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable.

General Science (Medical) (i) Graduate with at least 50% marks from a recognized university with Zoology, Botany & Chemistry
(ii) Bachelor of Education Degree or its equivalent from an Institute recognized by NCTE with Science as a teaching subject and at least 50% marks in aggregate.
(iii) Pass in Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (Paper-II) for the post of Master’s/Mistresses as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable.

OR

(i) 4 years integrated B.Sc., B.Ed., or an equivalent course with Zoology, Botany, and Chemistry with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
(ii) Pass in Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (Paper-l1) for the post of Master’s/Mistress’s as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable

General Science (Non-Medical) (i) Graduate of a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with at least 50% marks in aggregate
(ii) Bachelor of Education Degree or its equivalent from an Institute recognized by NCTE with Science/ Mathematics as a teaching subject and at least 50% marks in aggregate.
(iii) Pass in Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (Paper-l1) for the post of Master’s/Mistress’s as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable.

OR

(i) 4years integrated B.Sc. B.Ed. or an equivalent course with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
(ii) Pass in Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (Paper-11) for the post of Master’s/Mistresses as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable.

Social Science (i) Graduate with at least 50% marks with any two of the following seven elective subjects from a recognized university.
History, Political Science, Economics, Geography, Sociology, Public Administration, and Psychology
(ii) Bachelor of Education Degree or its equivalent from an Institute recognized by NCTE with Social Studies/Social Science as teaching subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
(iii) Pass in Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (Paper-1) for the post of Master’s/Mistresses as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable.

OR

(i) 4 Years Integrated B.Sc, B.Ed or an equivalent course with Social Science with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
(ii) Pass in Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (Paper-II) for the post of Master’s/Mistress’s as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable

Hindi (i) Graduate or its equivalent from a recognized University with Hindi as an elective subject with at least 50% marks.
(ii) Bachelor of Education Degree recognized by NCTE with at least 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent with Hindi as a teaching subject.
(iii) Pass in Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (Paper-II) for the post of Master’s/Mistresses as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable.

Age Limit (As on 1.1.2025)

Candidates applying for the SSA Chandigarh TGT Recruitment 2025 must be between 21 and 37 years of age as on 1st January 2025 to be eligible. SC, OBC, Ex-Servicemen, or any other category will be given age relaxation as per the rules/instructions issued by the Govt. of India/Chandigarh Administration in this regard.

SSA Chandigarh TGT Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

The eligible candidates who will be applying for the SSA Chandigarh TGT Recruitment 2025 have to appear for a written test followed by document verification. Merit list for selection will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in the Objective Type Test. In case two or more candidates have the same marks in the written test, then the candidate having higher marks in C-TET (Paper-II) will rank higher in the merit.

SSA Chandigarh TGT Recruitment 2025 Exam Pattern

One objective-type test of 150 Marks will be conducted. Merit list for selection will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in the Objective Type Test. Qualifying marks for the test will be 40% for all candidates. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer, and the duration of the exam will be 150 Minutes.
