RRB Group D Computer-Based Test (CBT) Examination was conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) for the recruitment of 32438 Group D vacancies. Around 9 million candidates have participated in the exam and are now anxious to know their qualifying status. RRB Group D Result, along with Cut Off marks, will be released in June 2026. The result will be released separately on all regional websites of RRB.

More than 10 million candidates applied for the 32,438 Level-1 vacancies under CEN 08/2024. The 1st stage of the CBT exam was held from 17th November 2025 to 10th February 2026. The result for the RRB Group D Exam will be released zone-wise in PDF format, consisting of the qualified candidates' roll numbers. Qualified candidates will have to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

RRB Group D Result 2026 – Court Case & Stay Update
- The RRB Group D Result 2026 is currently on hold due to a Telangana High Court stay. The case raised concerns about recruitment rule changes and transparency issues.
- The result has been temporarily put on hold, as per the High Court for the State of Telangana. The next hearing is on 22nd May 2026, and it is expected that the result will be announced after that.
How to Check Railway Group D CBT Exam Result 2026?
The candidates can check their qualifying status by searching for their roll number in the list of qualified candidates. Follow the steps detailed below-
- Candidates have to visit the regional website of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) you have applied.
- Go to the Result section of the homepage and click on the link provided for “CEN-RRB-08/2024 (Pay Level-1 Posts): CBT Result & Score Card” in the Results section.
- The Railway Group D Result & Merit List PDF appears on the screen.
- Download the result PDF and search for your roll number in the merit list.
- If your roll number appears on the screen, congratulations, you are eligible to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
RRB Group D CBT Result 2026 PDF (Zone-wise)
Railway Recruitment Board (RRBs) will release the RRB Group D Result 2026 for the CBT Exam in PDF format for each zone separately. Once the results are released in June 2026, the PDF links for all regions will also be shared below, along with the number of candidates shortlisted for each zone.

RRB Group D Score Normalisation Process 2026
Since the CBT was conducted in multiple shifts across several months, RRB uses a percentile-based normalisation method to ensure fairness across all shifts.
How Normalisation Works
- Marks obtained in each shift are transformed into a percentile scale ranging from 0 to 100
- The percentile score reflects the percentage of candidates who scored equal to or below a given score in that shift
- This normalised score is used to prepare the final merit list — not the raw score
- Candidates scoring the same raw marks in different shifts may receive different normalised scores
- Your Score Card will show BOTH your raw marks and normalised marks. The normalised score is what determines your final ranking and shortlisting status.

What Next After RRB Group D CBT Result 2026?
The Railway Recruitment Board will conduct the PET after the first stage of the Computer-Based Test (CBT). Candidates who clear the PET successfully will be called for the Document Verification process. They will be able to download the RRB Group D admit card PET, as well as the RRC Group D DV admit card, from the official website of Indian Railways.
