RRB Group D Exam Date 2025
Due to the fact that over 10.82 million candidates have applied, the exam will be conducted in multiple shifts each day across more than 200 cities. An official announcement regarding the RRB Group D Exam Date for 2025 will be released soon. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will conduct a Computer-Based Test (CBT) for both ITI and 10th-pass candidates.
Through this recruitment, 32438 Level 1 Group D posts will be filled. RRB Group D exam city details will be released on the RRB websites (10 days before exam date), informing shift timing and reporting time details.

Railway RRB Group D Exam Date 2025 Official Notice
The previously scheduled date for the RRB Group D 2025 Computer-Based Test (CBT) exam has been postponed and now the new schedule will be released in due course of time. The official schedule for the release dates of city intimation slips, admit cards, and the start and end dates for the Railway Group D Exam 2025 will be published on https://www.rrbcdg.gov.in/ and on other regional websites.
RRB Group D 2025 Exam Timings
The official shift timing details will be released along with city intimation slips for the RRB Group D Exam 2025. As per trends, it is expected that the exam will be held in three shifts each day and as the number of candidates who have applied is very large, so exam will be held on multiple days. RRB Group D 2025 Selection Process
Only candidates who pass all these stages are eligible for the appointment letter for Group D posts in Indian Railways.
Computer-Based Test (CBT): This is the first stage and includes subjects like General Awareness, Reasoning, Mathematics, and General Science. The exam is 90 minutes long and totals 100 marks. For candidates with disabilities, the duration is 120 minutes. There is negative marking for wrong answers.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who clear the CBT move to the PET, which tests physical fitness. The requirements differ for male and female candidates (e.g., running certain distances within set times). Candidates with 40% disability are exempt from PET.
Document Verification (DV): Candidates who pass CBT and PET must provide original documents for verification to confirm eligibility. Failure to provide correct documents or meet requirements leads to disqualification.
Medical Examination: A medical test follows document verification to ensure candidates meet the physical and medical standards required for the job.
RRB Group D CBT Exam Pattern 2025
- The RRB Group D exam Pattern for CBT will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions covering Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness & Current Affairs.
- There will be a negative marking of 1/3 marks for every wrong answer.
- The exam duration is 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD candidates with a scribe).

The RRB Group D exam will be held across more than 200 cities in India. The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) will announce the RRB Group D Exam Centres for 2025 approximately four days before the exam through the RRB Group D admit card.
