RPF Constable Physical Test 2025, PET PST Details (Running, Jump, Height and Chest)

The Railway Recruitment Board has released the result for the CBT exam conducted to fill 4208 vacancies for the constable post. Now, the candidates who have qualified for the CBT Exam will have to appear for the next stage of the selection process, i.e., RPF Constable Physical Test 2025. The Physical Test will include the Physical Efficiency Test and the Physical Measurement Test, by which the strength and stamina of the candidates are tested. The test is conducted to ensure that only the fit and capable candidates are selected.

RPF Constable Physical Test 2025

Around 22.96 lakhs candidates have appeared for the RPF Constable CBT Exam 2025, out of which a total of 42143 candidates are shortlisted for the PET and PMT. The Physical Efficiency of the candidates will be tested through running, long jump, and high jump activities. In the Physical Measurement Test, the height and chest of the candidates will be measured. The candidates who will successfully pass the RPF Constable Physical Test 2025 will be called for the last stage of the selection process, i.e., document verification.

As the RPF Constable Result 2025 has been released by the Railway Recruitment Board on 19th June 2025, along with the names and roll numbers of the 42143 qualified candidates who have been shortlisted for the RPF Constable Physical Test 2025. The dates for the Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Measurement Test will be announced soon at the RRB official website www.rrbcdg.gov.in. The board will also issue admit cards for the candidates who will be appearing for the physical test.

RPF Constable Physical Efficiency Test 2025

The RPF Constable Physical Efficiency Test 2025 is conducted to check the physical readiness of the candidates for the post of constable. The test is essential to measure a candidate’s physical strength and stamina so that only the fit and capable candidates can be selected. The test will include activities like running, long jump, and high jump. The criteria for the Physical Efficiency Test have been tabulated below.

Note: For the 1600/800 meters event, only one chance will be given. For the remaining events, i.e., Long Jump and High Jump, the candidates will be given up to 2 chances each. Ex-servicemen shall be exempted from PET; however, they will have to undergo PMT

The Physical Measurement Test (PMT) is conducted to ensure candidates meet the required physical standards as set by the officials. The test will include the measurement of the height, unexpanded chest, and expanded chest of the candidates. Preparation Tips for Railway RPF Constable Physical Test 2025

Below, we have mentioned some pointers by following which candidates can follow to prepare for the RPF Constable Physical Test 2025 more effectively and efficiently.

  • Start Early Training: Begin daily workouts at least 2–3 months before the test to build stamina, strength, and speed.
  • Focus on Running: Practice 1600 meters (for males) or 800 meters (for females) daily, gradually improving your timing.
  • Incorporate Strength Exercises: Include push-ups, sit-ups, squats, and planks to enhance muscle endurance.
  • Practice Long Jump & High Jump: Work on your technique and balance through repeated, safe jumping drills.
  • Maintain Proper Diet: Eat protein-rich, balanced meals to fuel your training and aid recovery.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water, especially before and after workouts, to maintain performance.
