NEET PG 2024: Minimum Qualifying Marks
To clear the NEET PG 2024, candidates have to score minimum qualifying marks as set by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). Candidates from the General / EWS category have to score a minimum of 50% marks and candidates from the SC/ST/ OBC category have to score a minimum 40th Percentile in the NEET PG exam.

NEET PG 2024 Normalization Formula
Normalization is the equalizing of marks for candidates who appeared in different shifts considering the variation in difficulty levels for different shift exams.
- Highest Score in Shift 1: Normalized to 100th percentile if the highest score in NEET PG is 80%.
- Highest Score in Shift 2: Normalized to the 100th percentile if the highest score is 82%.
- Highest Score in Shift 3: Normalized to 100th percentile if the highest score is 78%.
- Highest Score in Shift 4: Normalized to 100th percentile if the highest score is 79%.
What After NEET PG 2024?
Candidates declared qualified in NEET PG Exam 2024 are now eligible to participate in NEET PG Counselling 2024. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct counselling for the allotment of 50 per cent of AIQ seats while the respective state counselling authority will conduct counselling for the rest seats. For the Counselling process, candidates have to register online and fill in their choice for college and course. The NET PG seat allotment will be based on candidates’ marks, choice filled, seat availability and reservation criteria etc.
NEET PG Counselling 2024
Candidates who qualify for the examination or score the minimum qualifying marks become eligible for the NEET PG Counselling session. It is expected that the counselling process will begin in the second week of September 2024. NEET PG counselling comprises online registration, fee payment, choice declaration, seat allotment results, and reporting.
- Online Registration- For NEET PG Counselling candidates have to fill the registration form by providing their email ID and mobile number.
- Fee Payment – Pay registration fee as per category through online mode (Net banking/credit card/debit card)
- Choice Filling – Candidates have to choose the desired course and colleges in order of their preference.
- Seat Allotment – Based on candidates’ rank, and their choice of college the, all India ranks, reservation criteria, availability of seats and other aspects exam authority will release the merit list. Candidates can view this list to see which institution they have been allocated to.
- Reporting- Candidates have to report to the allocated institute on the reporting day. Candidates must carry all their certificates in original along with a self-attested copy.
