BPSC TRE 4.0 Teachers Educational Qualification

Candidates must have completed 12/ graduation/post-graduation from a recognized university to be eligible to apply online for the BPSC TRE 4.0 Exam 2026.

For Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5)

• Candidates must have completed their senior secondary examination/ 12th (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. (OR)

• Graduation with 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Early Education/Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)/B.Ed Special Education.

For Middle School Teachers (Class 6 to 8)

• Candidates must have completed Graduation (degree obtained from a University recognized by the University Grants Commission) and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (OR)
• Graduation or Post Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed (OR)
• Graduation with minimum 45% marks and one year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) (OR)
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.Ed.) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and four-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. (OR)
• B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. OR Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and one-year B.Ed. (Special Education) or Post Graduate with a minimum of 55% marks or its equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed.M.Ed (OR)
• BCA with a minimum of 50% marks. And a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) / B.Ed. / B.Ed. (Special Education) / MCA with a minimum of 55% marks or its equivalent grade. And three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
• Under the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure Regulations, 2014), Graduation in Engineering (with specialization in Science and Mathematics) and B.Ed. or B.Sc. (Bio-Technology) (OR)
• B.Sc (Electronics) and B.Ed
• For school teachers of language subject of class 6-8, having studied the relevant language subject as an Hons./Subsidiary subject at the graduation level.
• For teachers of Sanskrit language (Bachelor’s degree in Sanskrit, Aalim’s degree in Urdu)

For Secondary Teacher (Class 9 to 10)

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc/B.A/B.Com) with at least 45% and pass/appear in senior secondary/B. E.D. with a minimum of 50% marks, and candidates must have qualified for the CTET/Bihar TET exam.

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with 50% marks, with Physical Education as an optional subject (OR)
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with 45% marks, with Physical Education

For Higher Secondary Teacher (Class 11 to 12)

Candidates must have a Graduation/postgraduate degree and a B.Ed degree from a recognized university/institute. Post-wise education qualifications are tabulated below in the table.

Age Limit (as on 1/08/2026)

Age Relaxation – The upper age relaxation for the reserved category will be provided as follows:

• Backward Class/Extremely Backward Class (male and female) – 40 years
• Unreserved female – 40 years
