Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has released the Bihar DCECE Polytechnic Admission Forms for Diploma Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination 2026 on 19th March 2026. The entrance exam will be conducted for Polytechnic Engineering (PE), Para Medical Matric Level (PMM), and Para Medical Intermediate Level (PM) course groups.

Bihar DCECE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

For Polytechnic Engineering (PE)- Must have passed or appearing in Class 10th (Matriculation); Subjects: Mathematics and Science are compulsory

For Paramedical (PM)- Must have passed or appearing in Class 12th; Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics

For Paramedical Matric (PMM)- Must have passed Class 10th

• No minimum age for PE
• For PM/PMM: Minimum age is generally 15–17 years (course-specific)

Bihar DCECE Polytechnic Exam Pattern 2026

The exam pattern for Polytechnic Engineering (PE), Paramedical Matric (PMM), and Paramedical (PM) is explained below.

Polytechnic Engineering Course Group (PE)

There are 90 questions, 5 marks each, making a total of 450 marks. Candidates have to complete the examination in 2 hours and 15 minutes

Courses Include: Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Science.

Para Medical (Intermediate Level) Course Group (PM)

There are a total of 90 questions asked from Science, Maths, Hindi, English, and GK. Each question carries 5 marks, and candidates must complete the exam in 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Exam Level: The Intermediate Level covers Hindi, English, and General Knowledge, while the Secondary Level includes General Science and Arithmetic Ability.

Courses Include: Pharmacy, GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery), Lab Technician, X-Ray Technician, and Dental Hygienist.

Para Medical (Secondary Level) Course Group (PMM)

There are 90 questions that will be asked from various subjects mentioned below. Each question carries 5 marks, which makes the total 450, and candidates must complete the exam in 2 hours and 15 minutes

Exam Level: Secondary (10th standard level)

Courses include: ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery), Dresser, Dental Mechanic, and Radiography courses.
